A special invitation to forum friends to join in the Seattle Solidarity March for Lolita, which some orca friends and I have organized for this Saturday, January 17, 1 p.m., at the Statue of Liberty Plaza. We will march in support of the world-wide effort to retire the captured orca Lolita from performing in Miami and return her to her home in the Salish Sea. Our theme is “She’s there now, but she belongs here.”
We are also marching for the health and recovery of her wild family, the endangered Southern Residents … because it doesn’t make much sense to bring her home if they aren’t here to greet her!
All welcome! After-party at the Celtic Swell! Hope to see you there!

Hi Everyone
We are still trying to raise another $400 for Aussie’s surgery, so hoping folks are feeling the love for our furry friends whose humans are financially restricted. We now have a different Vet and the bill will be no more than $830.
There are a couple of ways to donate–through furryfaces@hotmail.com PayPal–(be sure to write Aussie’s name in the note field) or Aussie’s gofundme page.
Thank you for you consideration and we will keep you up to date on her progress.

And please keep in mind that Furry Faces Foundation recently received our IRS 501c3 letter, so your donation to help Aussie is tax deductible. Thanks again!
