If you know your precinct you can look up the caucus location on this page.

If you need to find your precinct number and don’t have your voter card handy, you can enter your name at the king county elections page:

remember polling places are not caucus locations (though they can be)

My guess would be West Seattle High school if your in the same precinct as Hope Lutheran, otherwise you need to look it up.

But it seems to be a bit slow indicating a lot of traffic. Actually after trying it several times it looks like it tipped over from the load…

and finally there is this map from king county. It is a somewhat large pdf file but you can zoom in to your location and see the boundary streets and precinct numbers.

I used Quidnunc based on the reviews offered by the readers. They make house calls and are very helpful. I had originally thought I’d need a home visit for my sick PC, but the technician who I spoke with over the phone actually walked me through a 5 min. procedure curing my notebook, all at no charge. Can’t get any better than that.

Last fall when WSB posted a topic on Cycle University’s expansion to WS and their 5-month InCycle class (https://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=3411), I fantasized about signing up and getting in great shape for spring. But as with many cycling opportunities outside of BTW month, I chickened out, and now I wonder what could’ve been…

If you’re in the class now for the first time, care to share how it’s going for you? Are the classes and teachers inspiring, or are you counting the seconds til the torture is over every time? :) Also, what would you say was your cycling level before you started? Would you do it again or recommend it? What type of rider do you think it’s most geared toward? Any other thoughts? Talk to me!

I am hoping that anyone who wants their voice heard will understand the situation in the short term.

The primary is only important if you are a republican.

The Caucus on Saturday Feb. 9th at 1 pm is the only place presidential nominee delegates will be chosen this year.

I checked my ballot on the primary page at king county elections and there are NO ballot measures, annexation votes or fire of school district measures on it.

I am thinking of choosing the worst possible candidate and voting in the Republican primary since they will be choosing half the Republican delegates via the primary.

Last time the primary was cancelled due to neither party choosing delegates from its results with a savings of several million taxpayer dollars.

If you want to “get out among the people” this year, you should join your neighbors at the caucus on Feb 9th and let your voice be heard.

Also note anyone who wants to make their local party, be it Republican or Democrat, either more progressive or more conservative, has very nearly only one path to do so. Join the local district organization and become a voting member.

If you’re a Democrat or even a green or socialist leaning independent, your only chance to tilt district policy in the direction you want is to join and speak up.

If you are a Republican then use google to look for your contact and caucus info. I think the WA Republican party has purged most of the moderates but a few are still hanging on here in Seattle. If you identify yourself as a moderate Republican, please join your party and help save them from the crazies.

Note: the 34th district includes all of West Seattle, Vashon Island and parts of Burien

Hi – we have just received confirmation there will be an event this Saturday, 10 am-2 pm, at the Alki Masonic Hall, with the Rainbow Girls auxiliary organization collecting trees for a $5 donation (the trees will be turned into mulch). We put out a call on the site recently for anyone else with events to please let us know — so far that’s the only one we’ve heard from. We also published info on taking your tree to the county disposal site that’s nearest WS, in this post:
