For at least a couple of weeks now, a long string of street lights are out at the east end of the West Seattle Bridge (on both north & south sides). Also the lights are out from the bridge exiting to 99 North, and from 99 South exiting to the bridge. It is so dark!

Does anybody know what is going on? Seattle City Light apparently does not deal with the lights on the bridge; I understand it is out of their jurisdiction. I miss those lights during this darkest time of the year, especially when roads can be icy.

It looks great without the lights on. I drive this road very often at night, and it doesn’t seem dangerous or unsafe; it’s actually refreshing to be out of the constant glare of lights. There is enough ambient light on that road, and there are also traffic headlights, to make it very easy to see the lane markers, etc.
