OK, how has that negatively affected anyone? Presumably, if it’s low information, it would have some significant negative effect?

Skeeter wants plastic bags. I use them to line my trash cans. So now I do half my grocery shopping in Burien. The significant negative effect is wasted gasoline and increased automobile emissions. I know it’s not logical. I could just go and buy a hundred plastic bags at Target for a few bucks. But I think they should be FREE and a man has to make a stand at some point…

“She’s a symbol. She symbolizes to many the IDEA that enough people have had enough of the one-way street. Maybe she’ll have enough pull to give the Downtown Mafia pause before they steamroll through the next thing that shovels $ up to the folks who are already doing just fine. Probably not, but at least they have to think a few minutes longer.”

I really enjoyed that paragraph Wake. Thank you. I’ll think about that.

Maybe one evening in December we can grab a drink? Invite a few folks from the forum and have a fun discussion. Just an idea…

That’s a fine idea, Skeets. I’ll buy the first round since you graciously accept whatever gibberish that falls out of my head onto the page as worthy of the bother.

Surely we can grab a few other ne’er dowells from this crew to join us!

Biased whining on the left always makes my day. Skeets, be careful please. They are turning on you.

What JoB was bloviating about and The article JanS decided to link to is a another example of the shrill propaganda of the left. Sure, each side is trying to get what they want but a little transparency is requested in this bill. Something the left only talks about but doesn’t do.

The EPA Scientific Advisory board would not be gutted. They just ask this …. Among other provisions, the measure would require the Scientific Advisory Board, which consults the EPA on its regulations, to have at least ten percent of members from state, local or tribal governments.

10%. That’s not very much. My theory is that 90% of the rest of the people might be scientists or environmentalists that work there.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Poor Chicken Little

“Revises the operation of Board member committees and investigative panels to:

    (1) require that they operate in accordance with the membership, participation, and policy requirements (including new requirements for public participation in advisory activities of the Board) contained in this Act;”

there’s that 10% thing you are talking about

    but then there’s more

“(2) deny them authority to make decisions on behalf of the Board; and

    (3) prohibit direct reporting to EPA.”

that sure looks like gutting to me.
