7:37 PM: Thanks to Ian for sending the photo. A multi-car crash is blocking the east/northbound side of the 3200 block of SW Avalon Way [map]. Apparently no injuries of note, though, as SFD was not dispatched.
8:26 PM: Added overhead view, also sent by a reader. Meantime, the scene is reported to have been cleaned (of broken glass) and cleared.
11:51 AM: A texter reports, “There is a fuel truck stuck on the median just outside the Shree’s gas station on Delridge south of Brandon, It’s backing up southbound traffic.” Avoid the area for a while.
11:59 AM: You can see the truck in the backdrop of our screengrab from the nearest SDOT camera. Police have just been dispatched.
12:02 PM: Officers arrived to find the truck has gotten itself unstuck and departed.

9:53 AM: Thanks for the tip. The Delridge offramp from the westbound West Seattle Bridge is blocked by an emergency response right now. According to archived dispatch audio, it’s not a crash – it’s a driver experiencing a medical emergency. A bus has been allowed through but otherwise the exit will be blocked until the situation is resolved.

12:13 PM: Police say they’re blocking downhill traffic on the Highland Park Way hill because of a crash described as a driver colliding with a motorcycle or scooter rider. The rider has injuries and is being treated by Seattle Fire medics.
12:33 PM: In medical-assessment radio communication, medics now describe the rider as a 75-year-old man who was on a scooter when hit. His injuries are not described as life-threatening; he’ll be taken to Harborview Medical Center.

6:52 PM: This may not last too long but the eastbound entrance of the West Seattle Bridge is closed right now, according to emergency-radio traffic, because of a motorcycle crash. The motorcyclist is apparently OK, but is said to be walking their motorcycle back up to Fauntleroy, with responders accompanying them, so the entrance is closed until they’re all safely off the road.

King County Metro, community members, riders, and transit agencies throughout the region will gather, to celebrate and remember Transit Operator Shawn Yim, who was killed in the line of duty on December 18.
Transit service, the Customer Information and the Lost & Found office services will be temporarily reduced while employees attend the memorial event.
We recommend riders who rely on transit services plan to travel early and allow additional travel time and consider alternatives in the event that your bus trip is temporarily not operating.
Sound Transit Link 1 Line and 2 Line services and Water Taxi routes are expected to operate regular schedules.

Saturday, Jan. 11 – Sunday, Jan 12: The route will be on regular, two-boat service.
Monday, Jan. 13: We expect to have a third, unscheduled vessel back on the route. We will send an update when the timing of this boat move is finalized.

*The Admiral Way Bridge seismic project shifted traffic flow to the outside lanes last Tuesday as planned, and removed the temporary crosswalk at 39th.

10:39 PM: Police are dealing with another crash toward the Fauntleroy Way end of the West Seattle Bridge right now. Police are reporting the barrier pushed out of alignment again – we’re not sure which side the crash happened on, but the barrier is reported to be a hazard on the eastbound side. The vehicle reported to be involved was described as a Ford Ranger. No injuries reported, as SFD has not been dispatched.

10:58 PM: If you’re using that end of the bridge any time soon, note that there are short shutdowns as they reset the barrier (again).
11:25 PM: Officers have just told dispatch that all lanes are now open.
7:01 PM: Police have told dispatch that SW Alaska is closed both ways at 36th SW because of a collision. A pedestrian is reported to be hurt, described as a head injury, hit by a vehicle estimated to have been going 20 mph, and SFD medics are on scene. Avoid the area for a while.
7:14 PM: The injured pedestrian will be taken to Harborview Medical Center.
10:46 PM: SFD tells WSB that the pedestrian is a 74-year-old man who was in serious condition when transported.
10:37 PM: SFD and SPD are headed for what’s been dispatched as a reported “four or five vehicle” crash on the westbound West Seattle Bridge near the Delridge exit, with one car “rolled over” and possibly on fire. Updates to come.
10:43 PM: Responders are arriving and telling dispatch this is closer to the Fauntleroy end. They’re also going to block westbound traffic until the fire is out, diverting drivers onto the Delridge exit. And they’re describing the burning car as on its side rather than totally flipped.
10:52 PM: Police now tell dispatch they’re not able to divert traffic off at Delridge, but hope to reopen 1 westbound lane past the crash scene in 10 minutes or so, “once SFD clears.”
11:09 PM: Just added a reader-texted photo (thank you!). The texter also says it was a one-car collision, with the other vehicles initially reported as involved actually having stopped to help. Meantime, firefighters have just told dispatch that the fire is out and one lane will, as promised, reopen momentarily.
11:36 PM: There may be another temporary delay in the area as the center barriers have to be reset after getting knocked out of alignment in the crash. Meantime, this video of what the car fire looked like from the north end of Delridge was posted by Cami MacNamara:
