I lost my passport tonight around 10pm on Saturday June 8th, right near the corner of SW Stevens’s street and Fairmont Avenue. It would have been in the street nearby some scattered pieces of cardboard, I set the items on the roof of my car and then drove away. I returned and found the cardboard pieces but not the passport, please contact me if found, I’m travelling this month and need it very urgently!

The issue here is the messenger. If you’ve paid attention to the comments you’d have discovered that all the “do away with cars” commenters have slipped up and told the truth. They own/use cars. We DO need to encourage walking/biking/mass transit but the message gets lost when the loud proponents seem to be pushing for simply to make their drive easier. And SDOT? SIGH….they’re the ones spending NO money on maintenance. Want proof? Look at high bridge. Went from fine to “SHUT IT DOWN” and making evacuation plans for businesses below overnight. Hard to trust and agree to give money to an organization that can’t be trusted

That sounds pretty unnerving, especially considering the current situation. It’s crucial for healthcare professionals to prioritize safety protocols, especially with something as contagious as COVID-19. Props to Dr. Smith’s assistant for maintaining professionalism amidst the chaos. It’s a shame that the rest of the staff didn’t follow suit. Your health should never be compromised, especially in a medical setting. As for dentist recommendations, I’ve heard good things about Dr. Jeffrey Gross in Eastlake, OH. Haven’t personally been there, but I’ve heard they prioritize patient safety, here’s the link: https://jeffreygrossdds.com/. It’s worth checking out, especially if you’re looking for a safer experience.

It unfortunately seems like they won’t be back – when you click on the “West Seattle Truck” link on the El Camion website to order, the Clover site says the page doesn’t exist. Order links for all three of the other locations are functional. :(

No idea if the space is open for another truck.

Our West Seattle neighborhood has a very dangerous unmarked intersection: where 49th Avenue SW crosses SW Graham Street. Accidents or near-misses occur there routinely.

My son and I were involved in a rollover accident in 2015. Another serious accident occurred earlier this month. Fortunately, no one was serious hurt…this time.

We are asking the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to provide either a traffic circle or stop signs at this uncontrolled intersection. Many of us in the neighborhood have watched cars drive though this intersection not realizing it is uncontrolled. We feel it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or worse.

Unfortunately, the SDOT does not have any data indicating this intersection is dangerous – with no reported collisions in the last three years. If you have experience or observations with this intersection being unsafe, please add your comment below.

    Thank you.

Background: Driving East/West along Graham SW, every 4-way intersection between 50th Ave SW and 35th Ave SW (for 15 blocks) is controlled by stop signs, stop lights or traffic circles. Except 49th Ave SW /SW Graham. Driving East/West, along 49th Ave SW (for 11 blocks), every 4-way intersection from SW Morgan to SW Oregon is controlled. Except 49th Ave SW /SW Graham.

Consequently, drivers travel on 49th Ave. SW and Graham SW with a false sense of confidence they will not encounter any cross traffic. Too many times they have been proven wrong with unfortunate consequences.

    The clinic:
Use your solid clinical skills to join a whole different experience in healthcare! Trivas Family Medicine is a Direct Primary Care practice, which is an innovative membership model as opposed to traditional insurance based clinics. This practice, and this clinical role, is centered on truly providing the excellent service that only a small panel, low volume clinic can offer.
Trivas is a solo family medicine practice- just one doctor to keep track of. Work with me as a team member to get patient’s needs met in a myriad of ways. Much of the work we do for people is when they are not in the clinic.
You will be the ultimate troubleshooter- helping patients when barriers get in the way of achieving their health goals. That may involve communicating with patients, pharmacies, specialists, medical records departments and (occasionally) insurance companies. It may also mean teaching patients how to use their insurance wisely or how our clinic is different.
Of course we see some patients in clinic as well, and they need to be checked in, occasionally have blood drawn or have procedures, and the office sanitized afterwards.

We need a Medical Assistant to cover a leave of absence for the next 2-3 weeks, up to 30 hours a week. After that there will be a mix of part time and PRN, depending on what works for all of us.
Salary $25-35/hour, depending on experience level

I was just driving down a slow street by the Admiral Library. The sidewalks there are very wide and very nicely paved. Still, a runner was running nearly opposing traffic nearly at my bumper and I slowed to a 3 mile PH crawl and mouthed “Please use the sidewalk”. The runner signalled with her arms that she had a shared right to the road. She just didn’t “want” to use the wide super-smooth sidewalk. What is going on in West Seattle? She was breaking the law and making stupid, righteous hand signals that made no sense. What are we going to see next, Hula Hoppers in the middle of the street demanding space to perform? There is a Law righteous Joggers! “The Seattle Municipal Code, 11.40.220, provides that “where there are sidewalks provided, no pedestrian shall move along and upon an adjacent roadway.” The state statute, RCW 46.61.250, has the same language.”
