It’s a hammered iron and maple side table with two shelves and a cutting board top. It’s in very nice condition. The few marks on the top board could be made to disappear with a light sanding but as it sits, it just looks like it’s been worn in very lovingly. It’s 50″ long and 20″ deep and counter height.

Super functional beauty that will last many lifetimes.

Lists for $1570 now. Bought it new around 1998 or so for something right around that price.

JoB–It’s hilarious that you cite that article on the new GM CEO and instead of actually read it you seize upon a 100k difference in pay. That 100k is only a 6% difference and he got that extra 100k because he was not only the CEO but also the Chairman of GM. Further, she’s younger which means fewer years of experience. Because she’s younger she will likely get long term compensation and they haven’t declared all her short term compensations. At any rate the short term compensation is in stock and stock values go up and down. The value of the previous CEO’s stock may be worth more when he got it than the same number of shares are worth now. After she’s been on the job that stock may go back up and then she will be making more.

What you are engaging in is Confirmation Bias and you aren’t even smart enough to link to an article that actually confirms your bias. There is a reason she makes less and instead of seeing that you look only at the difference in initial salary.

Even if it turns out that she is paid significantly less I want to point out that work isn’t an entitlement. You get what you earn and if you don’t bargain well enough then you get less. She is responsible for demanding the pay she deserves. For all we know she bargained for less money in order to get something else like better benefits or more stock options down the road.

At any rate they haven’t even announced all her pay and instead of waiting until you have all the evidence you are jumping the gun because you think you’ve found something that confirms your bias.

Reviews are generally welcome if they are not in the “venting but we didn’t tell the management first” mode BUT just to be clear, the WSB restaurant guide’s primary reason is for basic info – each restaurant’s location/map, hours (as best we can update them – we make a new round of calls every few months), menu link, and web/facebook/twitter links in one place, since nobody else had an all-West Seattle restaurant directory and to date does not that I know of.

Since the pages were built in our basic software, they came with “comments” enabled if people want to post mini-reviews, but we’ve never billed it that way. Thanks for mentioning it.
