Hey, diners and writers — the Blog needs more, and more current, reviews on their restaurant listing, in my opinion. Anyone eaten at the new “The Bridge” or Chopstix?

Reviews are generally welcome if they are not in the “venting but we didn’t tell the management first” mode BUT just to be clear, the WSB restaurant guide’s primary reason is for basic info – each restaurant’s location/map, hours (as best we can update them – we make a new round of calls every few months), menu link, and web/facebook/twitter links in one place, since nobody else had an all-West Seattle restaurant directory and to date does not that I know of.

Since the pages were built in our basic software, they came with “comments” enabled if people want to post mini-reviews, but we’ve never billed it that way. Thanks for mentioning it.

https://westseattleblog.com/west-seattle-restaurants is the launch page (Restaurant Guide tab).

Just to be clear, I don’t look for (or wish to start) anything negative. It’s just helpful to know a bit about the atmosphere of a place, and what people recommend ordering.

Seems like a good idea, Jerald. I’d like to know more about the Bridge, too, for instance.

WSB, how will people know to look there? It doesn’t show up in searches unless you know what to do. Any way your techie’s can up it’s visibility? Even for the non-sponsors, it would raise awareness all around.

It’s very easy to find the reviews. Just click on the “Restaurants” tab, find the restaurant you’re interested in, and read the reviews. I see a lot of nice reviews for the Bridge. Easy as pie. No need for techies to up its visibility.
