I have an email in to them to ask about the expiration date – it currently says it’s effective from 9/17/10 to 12/31/09 which is very obviously an error. Fortunately this deal is effective for another 38 hours so they can fix it before buying.

Well, it looks like there really aren’t going to be any major changes along Admiral after all. All traffic lanes will stay the same, with a new pedestrian crossing at the north end. A parking lane will be swapped for an uphill bike lane.
A gain for a few bicyclists; a loss for a few car parkers.

The Small Scholars Academy at High Point Community Center still has openings available. Roxanne is the teacher and she is amazing. She has a Masters Degree in Education and experience teaching middle school and also Head Start Programs. She is using the Reggio Emilia and Creative Curriculum to teach. It is offered M/W/F or T/Th and you can choose from a morning or afternoon program. The pricing is actually less than Delridge (or other West Seattle CC’s) when you take into account that the program at Delridge is 3 hours long and the one at High Point is 3 1/2 hours long. The price is also prorated for September. My taxes won’t be affected by 1098 (not even close) so I don’t need such a calculator, but I’ll check it out anyway.
Carson, I agree with you that a lot of people wouldn’t be willing to admit that they make over $200,000 per year, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are trying to hide their motives. It’s just not the type of thing some people feel comfortable mentioning in a public discussion.
Nevertheless, there was a person on this blog who bravely admitted that he would be affected by the tax, remember? He also happened to be FOR I-1098, which I think is significant. His blog name is “Oliver” and here’s an excerpt of comments he made on a different thread:
Oliver: “The state income tax would apply to me and I am all for it. I don’t see it as unfair because there is a lot that is unfair to people who are not high income earners – such as a regressive sales tax and reliance on property taxes. 10% on a pair of jeans for my kid is nothing to me, but it’s quite a lot to the people of the farming community in Eastern Washington that I am from . . .”
I thought that was particular well said by Oliver.

Hi Scooter, did you see This Thread further down on here on the WSB Forums page, regarding a stolen car?
It was found, (thanks to wsgolfer!), on Murray Av, north of Lincoln Park, and just up from Lowman Beach Park.
My guess is it was parked behind the little stretch of greenbelt, across from the large apartment complex(es), just off Lincoln Park Way. wsgolfer could confirm that, and maybe remember if your SUV is/was there as well. They only mention one other car, a Mustang.
