Recommendation for kid's dentist

Our baby is turning one year old soon and we’d like to start looking for a dentist for him. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good dentist for children in the West Seattle area?

We love Dr. Joon Kae. 935.0100. He is located on California, right by Spiros. I am not sure if he “specializes” in the little guys but he does have small boys of his own. My whole family loves him and several of our friends go to him as well. One woman drives from Bothell area just to see Dr. Kae. Good luck!

We take our young son (2.5) to Dr Tweedy at the Junction (on 42nd). He saw Dr Li for his first visit and she was great! I know there used to be a long wait to get in, but think it isn’t as tough now. Feel like I read somewhere that it was just Dr Tweedy for awhile.

Our visit consisted of my son playing in the waiting room, pushing the fire truck into the back, past where the older kids were getting their teeth cleaned. He hung out and played in a room for awhile while an assistant asked me questions. Then Dr Li came in and got on the floor with my son, played with him, checked out his teeth, sang some songs, chatted with me. The entire time we all sat on the floor, with the door open. They told me the kids don’t go into the big chairs until they’re maybe four…can’t remember. But this way they get a feel for it. It was a really great experience. We went to the pediatric dentist in Burien when he was 1.5 and it wasn’t a bad experience, just nothing special or especially “pediatric” about it.
