Four Loko is now banned by the Washington Liquor Board…Good move says I, but I wanted to be sure to remind all that we have a very personal and very outstanding case in West Seattle that has this vile poison firmly interwoven into the details of the crime.
Remember hate crime in May where the young man was held hostage and beaten severely for HOURS by people he claims were calling him racist names and blaming him for their ills in life? They were HIGH on FOUR LOKOOOOOO…..

we currently have one person looking for someone to share a half interest with and another hoping there is enough interest for a second drop off site on the south side of West Seattle…
if you are a one or two person household.. sharing an order is a great option and they will even package your half order separately and bill you individually… at least that is the deal i got:)
if you are into a variety of quality baked goods but end up settling for what is available at the local market.. this might be a great option for you.
between bread and cookies i had no trouble overspending my half of this CSA:)

A post on our Facebook wall notes that there’s now a Chase ATM in the ex-BECU ATM spot in Alki. Since that was a hot topic almost exactly a year ago, I’m wondering if anybody here noticed when it was installed – making it through the media-relations maze at a megacorp like Chase would take all day, as opposed to BECU. Thanks if you have any info. Here’s one of the stories from a year ago when BECU left.

I am a PCO so my address and phone are public record as far as the political orgs and candidates are concerned. I am not swayed by mailers or robocalls or even calls from candidates themselves.
This cannot be gotten across to any of them as long as long as low info voters continue to convert ad dollars into votes.
I recycle all of them and only watch tv as a dvr and fast forward through commercials.
AM1090 exposes me to ads though since it is on all the time in the carport. But you don’t reach low info voters via that station.
Also note: robocalls dropped to nothing as soon as my ballot was noted as received by KC elections. I am glad the candidates have software to narrow the GOTV effort to those of you who have not mailed your ballot yet.

It’s not a blog. It’s a news/information/discussion site. I rue the day (well, actually it was late one night) I chose the title back when it WAS a “blog” – a word which now only signifies a publishing format – five years ago, but changing the name now would cause way more trouble than it would be worth. At least, that’s our current belief.
