Missing Mail?

Odd thing tonight, we were expecting a box shipped USPS but instead found a UPS box and not addressed to us. In addition, when we took the box to its proper owner a block over, it was open. Granted we should have called UPS but we didn’t. This happens from time to time but not empty AND there was USPS tape on the back with another party’s return address label. Did someone run around the neighborhood gather packages, empty the boxes and then return them to the wrong houses? Anyone else missing a box?

If this happened as a result of your USPS mail being left in an unsecured location, please consider reporting it to the postmaster.

I posted last week about my package that was stolen because of where the carrier left it. I have complained to the post office about this before, but they don’t seem to care. Perhaps if a few more people speak up, the carriers will follow their own rules and stop leaving packages out for thieves.
