Burning Rubber Smell?

Did anyone else smell burning rubber last night around 1/1:30am? We are just north of Admiral Junction, CA and Charlestown and there was a very strong, burning rubber smell coming in from outside (strong wind coming from the East) we walked around the house, checked everything and outside and didn’t see anything and it was definitely coming from somewhere.

Anyone else notice this or have an idea of what it was?

Yep, noticed it just north of Alaska Junction around midnight. It was strong enough that I also thought it was coming from right outside, but maybe the wind was blowing something up from the steel mill or shipping terminal.
