Four of them were black cats, in particular was a personal favorite of mine. Loki, a gorgeous, big male, black cat has the greatest personality and he is just stunning. He and his owner had survived a house fire, and ending up living in a car. Loki’s owner didn’t think it was fair for Loki to have to live in a car so asked Kitty Harbor if they would find him a loving home.

Well, yesterday, Loki’s new humans came in looking to adopt. They met him and were instantly drawn to him….as he was to them. They said ‘We’ve been waiting for him’! In a joyous reply Kitty Harbor’s, Delyn Kosbab said, ‘He’s been waiting for you too’! A match made in heaven!

Get to Kitty Harbor today–they are open until 6 pm and this is the last day that the adoption donation for black cats is $20.00 off! Black cats Rule!!!

Hey everyone,

We found a cat yesterday evening (see this post in the pet forum: https://westseattleblog.com/pet/cat-found-in-sunrise-heights/).

I’ve made some signs that we’re planning to put up tomorrow and we’re going to take the cat by the vet to see if it’s chipped (chances are slim though since he’s not neutered yet).

Other than that, do you recommend we try any other venues for reuniting the cat with its owners?

He’s a great little dude. All he does is purr (loudly!) and play. We have two cats already, or we’d consider keeping him.

There was a sentencing today in a federal case involving mail and ID theft. It’s on the main page. Has nothing to do with a mail carrier. Nor was it 40 counts in Highland Park. The Crime Watch report from last year that was apparently part of this case was in Highland Park. I assume the photographer was shooting the mail carrier as what we used to call B-roll … the usually generic video slapped over the reporter’s words … anyway:

Wake, the issue of CG’s dirty (no pun intended) compost was addressed in the linked thread below about 2 years ago. Don’t know if they actually cleaned up their act or not. Based on what I’ve seen of landscape crews (and many homeowners) there’s little chance of the cleanup happening at the originating end.

School of Rock. Seriously. The best music program I have ever seen.

My son was a timid 9 year old novice, but 3 years later he’s playing difficult songs with a full band on stages such as The Crocodile, Chop Suey, Neumo’s, Nectar, El Corazon, and Showbox.

Not that big venues mean a whole lot, but just to see the confidence of a group of kids totally OWNING these venues is absolutely inspiring.

They have a “Little Wings” program that starts at pre-school ages. By the time they are 8 to 10 many kids will be able to play with the shows.

The instructors are INCREDIBLE!! Really.

The only down side is that they only have schools in Greenwood and Bellevue. But they are looking to expand to West Seattle….
