Valvashon, Thank you for the info on KZJO, Q13 is my morning TV news source throughout the week, and as you likely know their weekend morning broadcasts are on sibling-station KZJO.

Ever since I did the rescan last Saturday the 19th, as KZJO and KOMO were encouraging, I seem to be getting a much more consistently good signal on KOMO, when there would be occasional instances of a day where I struggled to get a consistent signal, even after relocating my flat HDTV digital antenna to the most common spots for getting a decent signal.

But, on KZJO, I have struggled with getting a good signal, no matter where I move the antenna to (I’m somewhat limited in *where* I can locate it). Previously, I rarely had anything but the most minor and occasional pixelation. This morning, as well as last Sunday, the issue became worse at the start of the 8:00 am hour when I speculated this morning, that they likely change their signal strength, so I ended up switching to music on Pandora.

I don’t watch all that much over-the-air TV anymore, but was mentioned, watch KCPQ/KZJO for morning news, KOMO for late afternoon/evening news, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy! I also watch KIRO a couple times a week for a couple of primetime shows.

I have the alternative of watching KCPQ and KIRO on Hulu, but not KZJO or KOMO, should I have signal issues with them at any given time.

Knowing that this issue is (hopefully very) temporary, is encouraging.

After crossing the Dawamish River a stop near Chelan’s, then west to Harbor Ave. The curve north a travel only 6 blocks to Port Property near Pier 1 and Jack Block park.
Plenty of area for parking and transit center. Then circle around and go back south and enter a tunnel before Spokane St and Avalon Way. Tunnel to 35th and Fauntleroy and Junction.
The Magic of this route is the port already own a large portion of property. The Genesee Delridge neighborhood is not disturbed. And a future expansion tunnel to the Admiral District and West Seattle High School would be easy.

All 3 times I’ve walked passed I’ve seen 3 large raccoons on the front porch of the house & the last time (last night) I saw a small dog in the house that wasn’t barking… even with raccoons just feet away from him just outside the front door. Sorry, but this doesn’t pass my sniff test. A woman who is 10 weeks pregnant buys a garbage filled RV trailer for $1 to clean it out and live in it? After you fill a trailer with garbage like that you can’t really get it clean now can you? Reports are that a U-Haul truck towed it there and left it, so somebody paid at least $200 or so to move it and had good enough credit to rent a U-Haul. But this supposedly wasn’t the trailer’s final resting spot, so there would have to be another truck rental for another couple of hundred dollars. I know we are living in desperate times but none of this behavior is logical. Congratulations to Lisa Herbold for doing the right thing by sharing her driveway in whatever manner she did but this still feels like a political stunt by the previously accused parties.

I know that critical reading isn’t one of your skills, gxnx, but try to keep up. My point was that, in terms of problems on Alki, my dog is way safer and cleaner than people.

There are crappy dog owners, yes, though I believe that the vast majority of us are responsible owners who clean up after our dogs and keep them leashed, you just don’t notice them because we’re responsible. There are crappy people, too, and you’ll just have to come up with a way to live with them (or me if you wish). So, my advice for you is to suck it up, buttercup. Life ain’t fair and the rules aren’t written to suit you. Learn how to flex and pick your battles and you’ll have a better life.

Mark47n you are missing the point when you tell folks to find a new hobby or take valium. What we are saying is that off-leash dogs in parks which require a leash is against the law. Off-leash dogs on beaches is against the law. When people break the law – this law in particular- it bothers us and diminishes our ability to enjoy our parks. There is not much we can do to enforce the law, but you should be aware that your behavior makes people unhappy.
Do I break rules sometimes? Probably yes. If I my breaking a rule – either accidentally or on purpose – caused another person discomfort, I would want to be aware of it so that I could consider changing my behavior.

Interesting update from Texas re: fireworks. Here in Austin, they are illegal and it seems that pretty much, that is actually respected! I’m sure the city/state-wide constant concern of fire hazards has a lot to do with it, but I’ve also noticed a lot more active and retired military which may also play a part in it. Also, no pro sports team(s) seems to help with the civility all around. ;) I haven’t gone down the rabbit hole to truly investigate but on the 4th in North Austin (near The Domain for anyone who’s familiar with the area) all I heard were a couple kids in a nearby apartment complex shoot off maybe 4 “baby” bottle rockets. That was it. Driving back from downtown earlier in the evening, there weren’t any mortars popping off in the sky, I didn’t hear any firecrackers going off, it was like any other evening.

I’m curious to see, or I guess “hear”, what it’ll be like on NYE but seems like it’s just not an issue. I expected it to be a lot more like Alaska where neighbors would be competing with each other. I was happily wrong about that. lol

Conduct periodic property walk-throughs & inspections with vendors.
Prepare annual budgets & review monthly financial statements.
Efficiently respond to email communications regarding Association business.
Solicit quotes & repair bids from vendors as needed.
Facilitate insurance renewals for Associations.
Attend evening meetings for assigned portfolio of properties.
Effectively prioritize maintenance/repair projects & facilitate them from start to finish.
Address property emergencies as necessary.
Coordinate all recurring annual services such as fire confidence testing, backflow testing etc.
Assist with House Rules enforcement & prepare/send HOA notices & violation letters.
Work closely with Board members to ensure Association projects are completed in timely manner & management expectations are met.
Have general knowledge of HOA governing documents including Declaration, Bylaws, House Rules etc.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Associates Degree required. BA Degree preferred.
