mark harmanParticipantMy 95 year old father would like to go to the Opera this Saterday. “Turanot” will be live streamed from the New York Metropolitan Opera at 10 am and playing at the cinema complex at Southcenter Mall. It plays for about 3 hours. My Dad would love to buy you a ticket and help with gas if need be. You need a car with room for his walker and be patient as he is pretty slow but able to get around. If interested call Mark at 206 730 2896 for more details. Thank you,

OkakopaParticipantYou’re unable to take him? I know I would do anything to have my Father back with me and do things I thought I had no time for…

mark harmanParticipantOkakop, I am sorry your father is not around anymore. Dont just jump to conclusions that I have no time for my father. This once I do not have time to take him as I live in Shelton. Most other times I take him to the Opera. Chill please.

savoirfaireParticipantOkakopa, I’m sorry about your father. I miss mine too. No two families’ situations are the same when it comes to caring for our aging parents, but I think it’s safe to say that it’s rarely easy, and being judged by people who don’t know our circumstances only makes it more difficult.
Mark, I’m sorry I can’t offer to help, but I think it’s great that at 95 your dad is still able to do the things he loves!

jissyParticipantAh, Mark, would LOVE to do this with your dad but I am driving out of town with kids for soccer games. I hope you can find someone, nice of you to ask for him.

Okakopa.2ParticipantMark, My sincere apologies for my comment yesterday. I know there is no excuse for my rudeness it’s just that we are going thru sad times right now with my in laws and I took it out on you.
Again my apologies and as savoir-faire said “it’s great that your father at 95 is still doing things he loves”
I tried apologizing yesterday and a few minutes ago (too) and for some reason it wouldn’t post. ???- This reply was modified 6 years, 7 months ago by Okakopa.2.
