Job Duties

– Prepare patients for examinations
– Obtain vital signs and gather pertinent patient information
– Perform common clinic screening tests such as lab, X-ray, blood draws and other diagnostic tests
– Assist the physicians during office procedures
– Collect laboratory specimens
– Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment
– Keep patient exam rooms clean and orderly; anticipate physicians needs for medications, supplies and equipment and plan accordingly
– Inform patients of lab results, call in prescriptions to pharmacies and return phone messages as directed
– Accurately update electronic health record (EHR)
– Maintain patient files and medical records
– Provide patient education about procedures and medications as directed
– Schedule medical tests
– Support front office staff as needed; answer phones, schedule appointments, greet patients, etc.Required Qualifications
