From today’s Land Use Info Bulletin: 2 Design Review notes

In case you don’t get the twice-weekly Land Use Information Bulletin from the city, two projects of note in today’s edition:

4447 41st SW: This four-townhouse project is going through “streamlined design review,” which means no meeting, but you can still comment. Here’s the notice, which explains how.

4745 40th SW: The second Early Design Guidance meeting for this 150-apartment project (across from the Masonic Lodge and its parking lot on 40th) is now set for 6:30 pm July 11th at the Senior Center of West Seattle (California/Oregon) – here’s the official notice.

“The proposal is for an eight story, 150 unit residential building with 9 live-work units. Parking for 100 vehicles will be located below grade.”

hmmm; so now we’re getting down to .63 parking spaces per unit; and people expecting to hop on our already overloaded buses

West Seattle passed away peacefully while everyone was asleep after a valiant fight with overpopulation. Battling runaway density, city ignorance and developer greed in its final years, West Seattle was unable to survive due to infrastructure collapse and residential gridlock. Born in 1851, West Seattle was home to millions of people who today are morning the loss of the once idyllic peninsula. This sad passing will be remembered by her far-flung friends and families who will forever hold a special place in their heart for this formal jewel of the Pacific Northwest.
