cjboffoliParticipantI’ve just been in touch with Chef Gabriel Claycamp, the man responsible for the hand-cured bacon that has been in such high demand across the City over the past week. Gabe tells me that in response to his e-mail last Tuesday his staff sold a half-ton of bacon within 14 hours!!!
Many bacon seekers throughout Seattle were stymied. However, fear not bacon fans! When the Culinary Communion team heard that West Seattle Blog readers were at risk of going artisan-bacon-less they sprung into action to save the day. They will be making a special batch to meet the overwhelming demand!!
The only inconvenience will be a delay of a few days. The bacon for West Seattle Blog readers will be ready a week from today on Monday, December 8th. That means that bacon deliveries will get pushed back to the 8th or 9th. But I’ll do all I can to get this bacon out to everyone through rain, sleet or snow.
As of this evening I have orders for around 80 pounds of bacon. I’m not sure how much more Gabe and his team can guarantee for delivery next week. So if you’re interested and have yet to let me know my advice would be to get your order in to me ASAP to guarantee your ration of the good stuff.

miwsParticipantUmmmmm……so important updates such as this don’t get lost in the older bacon threads?

JanSParticipantgee….the thread police are out and about, huh(I honestly don’t think this will take up much bandwidth)…well, to make a long story short…Christopher first RAVED abut the bacon, but was afraid that it was getting overlooked, so he started another called Taking orders…that got a response…now..he just wants to make sure that we know that the bacon is forthcoming. I suppose he could speak for himself..but that’s about the jist of it. (and if you’re counting, TR mentioned it on the main page, too – lol)
If you want bacon, I’d suggest you get your order in now… :) it’s gonna be gooooddd…

JanSParticipantChristopher…you’re a saint…well, a bacon saint, but, nevertheless…thanks for the good news…good things come to those who wait, I hear :)

cjboffoliParticipantNewResident: Yeah, I hear you. I regret that there are so many threads and I wish this could have been done more efficiently. This involves a lot of readers now and I wanted to be sure to keep folks updated. I hope you’ll forgive me from being a thread pig and not think me a swine.

charlabobParticipantThere are three bacon threads because the internet is messy that way; it closely resembles the human brain (well, this human’s brain) — that’s one of the many reasons I love it here.

addParticipantpigeonmom – i liked the double posting, made me LOL twice!

JenVMemberJenV is going to start another bacon thread, because that’s just how JenV rolls.
December 2, 2008 at 11:54 pm #648531
IrukandjiParticipantYou may beat me to it, JenV!
December 3, 2008 at 12:08 am #648532
AimParticipantJenV, if Aim and JenV both didn’t already have such fabulous men in Aim’s and JenV’s lives, Aim would have totally smooched JenV for that last comment.
Good Lord.

RSMemberRS agrees with Aim’s sentiment!

AnonymousInactiveI think people who mock others for entertainment are lame.
The devotion to self promotion and adulation on this board deserves to be highlighted. Whether you choose to use the word I or not. It isn’t about having an opinion and expressing it. It is about the culture of me, me, me that is so off putting.
December 3, 2008 at 2:42 am #648535
BGMemberOkay, seriously, why all the snotty attitudes when someone asks why so many threads about bacon? A simple question was asked, and it wasn’t a bad question, and a bunch of snotty responses were made.
