WSBKeymasterJust today, or for a while?
Flight paths often change because of the weather.
And there also are various unusual aircraft spotted this time of year, like the alert we passed along last weekend about military aircraft expected at Boeing Field, and soon it’ll be airshow season, which means biplanes, stunt jets, many passing over West Seattle to and from Boeing Field … TR

LucyMemberI live just West of Delridge near Avalon & also had a plane fly over -very low and at a somewhat extreme angle. Wondering if there was some reason to change flight paths?

AnonymousInactiveIt has been just in the past 2 hours, about, as far as I can tell.
I *do* think they are coming from Boeing and I do not believe they are military.
I am at 35th and Hinds and they are *very* low.
However, I don’t mind it. I think it’s kinda cool to see those huge jets in the sky, yet so close.
Well, it’s cool for about 3 hours or so.

ToddinWestwoodMemberTry living on Roxbury or Barton. The small aircraft use those two streets to line up for incoming and outgoing flights from Boeing Field.
On a warm summer night, you can count up to 4 or 5 Cesnas lined up and coming in looking west.

LucyMemberWhat I saw was a large jet -did not recognize the markings, but it did appear to be some sort of commercial craft….I mostly just saw the bottom of the plane, so I couldn’t identify it. But MAN it was flying LOW!
Weird.

AnonymousInactiveA lot of aircraft that leave Boeing Field are not yet painted.
These are sometimes new aircraft that are going to their new homes.

JayDeeParticipantI live over near 56 and Hanford and used to have planes buzz the place. I called Boeing Fields noise complaint line and at least made them acknowledge the event. Of course once I called in a low UPS plane, only to see one of the planes engines smoking as he circled back over Magnolia…
King County is actually pretty responsive, and the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Here is the web site information:

bcollinsMemberExcellent links and numbers…I called Seatac, but I’m certain you’re all right about Boeing field. As I understand it, BF is going to be a Port of Seattle property.
My main issue is that the jets can fly over the Sound with much less impact.
