    Per Urban Dictionary:

    Jack-Husky

Those supporting the University of Washington Huskies who exhibit obnoxious behavior, arrogance and smack talk but did not attend the school. Most of these fans didn’t go to college and claim UW as it’s geographically desirable. They may also leverage a family connection (i.e my brother went to UW, therefore I have the right to talk smack about the Cougs and act like an ass) to justify the poor, classless behavior. Ironically, it’s typically the Jack-Huskies who get the most defensive, trash talk the most about the Washington State University Cougars and respond with shouting of uneducated expletives.

Typical UW t-shirt fans in the Seattle area that just want to be a fan and keep their mouth shut is found to be less annoying and acceptable however once they start talking smack, acting arrogant and can’t specify any real connection to the school through actual, personal experience (i.e student, alumni, professor), they are categorized as a Jack-Husky.

Most Jack-Huskies come out around Apple Cup if UW is doing well.

There’s a specific personality on KJR AM in Seattle that’s the biggest Jack-Husky you’ll ever hear of.

I’d be more interested in the fearless White Center Coyotes v. the aggressive West Seattle Raccoons, but it wouldn’t matter in the long run which team wins because the unleashed Morgan Junction Chupacabras would have them for breakfast … and lunch … and dinner.

Smitty, does that apply to high schools, or just college? So if I didn’t attend WSHS, I can’t root for them?

Umm, spoken like a true cooglet.

Any college education is/can be “expensive”. I would not argue that. But the UW is one of the most inexpensive schools out there. Granted, it has nearly doubled in the past 6 years. But dollar for dollar, its one of the best. I linked WA/CA/OR/AZ (Pac-10) and MA (#1 ranked) from US News & World. GO DAWGS!

No, mrheiney. The most important section:

“Typical UW t-shirt fans in the Seattle area that just want to be a fan and keep their mouth shut is found to be less annoying and acceptable however once they start talking smack, acting arrogant and can’t specify any real connection to the school through actual, personal experience (i.e student, alumni, professor), they are categorized as a Jack-Husky.”

Truth be told, if you drill down deep enough they usually attended Western. Go Vikings!

Here is another good ranking from recruiters:

This was posted on someone’s Facebook status, I thought it was funny.

BreakingNEWS: WSU practice was delayed after a player found a white powdery substance on the field. Coach Wulff suspended practice and called police. After a complete analysis, forensic experts determined that the white substance, unknown to coach and players was the Goal line. After a team meeting it was decided to resume practice cause it was unlikely they will encounter the substance again. GO DAWGS!

WSMom – this was posted by a friend of mine:

Put this as your status if you know someone who suffers from being a WSU fan. Being a Cougar fan is a real disorder and should be taken seriously. There is still no known cure for CFD (cougar fan disorder) and sympathy does not help, but we can raise awareness! 100% of UW fans …will repost this simply because we know how to copy and paste.

(ps, I am neither a Dawg nor Coug – am a Duck by proxy)

Way to go Dawgs! WHO LET THE DOGS OUT! What a game and we won in spite of the Officials! Well played by both teams and gusty!

And yes…I am a UW graduate (twice!). At the same time, I always root for WSU…when they are not playing the UW.

Great, great game (except for the outcome, of course!).

It was a fun game to attend, I must say – even though it was bitter cold. Warm clothes and alcohol did the trick!

Good luck in the Alamo Bowl, Dawgs. Well deserved.
