Car Accident On Harbor Ave March 19, 2011

Does anyone know anything about the car accident at 5pm Saturday involving a blue corvette and a white truck? They had to use the jaws of life to get the corvette door off. I can’t find anything on it.

We checked on it after getting a tip about it. No serious injuries reported, no medic unit was even dispatched (which would have been, if there had been serious injuries), scene wasn’t closed for long. We did mention it briefly on Twitter, which along with Facebook is where we put minor-but-might-affect-traffic-for-a-bit items that don’t turn into full=fledged stories.

I saw this accident right after it happened, we actually had to pull over for the police to get through. From what I saw the passenger door of the Corvette was attached to the front grill of the white truck, like it just peeled right off. A guy was still sitting in the passenger seat and he did not look injured (bloody, passed out). The driver was already out of the car. I hope eveyone is ok!
