    I recently moved to the top of West Seattle, on California near WS High School. We’ve been seeing some stunning sunsets over the past few days; can someone recommend a nice view point from near the top, looking west? It’s a nice walk down to Alki or Beach Dr, but I’d like to find a view point from which I can see the mountains and the water. Suggestions welcome, and thanks!

    In North Admiral, the intersection of Seattle and Sunset has a northwest view over the water. Spin around Street View on this g-map and you’ll see.

    Try around the area of SW Charlestown St and 55th Ave SW. Especially where Charlestown starts into SW Orleans. The neighborhood there buried all their utilities and the views are amazing – expansive views of the Sound and the Olympics on a clear day.
