MBarrettMillerMemberOn recent posts a lot of people have been touting the purity of purpose, as promoted by a number of the “leading” Republicans who claim to believe they are taking a stand against government spending, revenues, taxes etc.
Check out this list of double faced gimmee gimmee elected officials-
http://www.dccc.org/page/content/hhof/
Next thing you know Rick Perry will decide that g-d did mean for him to run for the big chair. Does he actually think that racist, homophobic, seceding beliefs are what we want in a president? These uttered belefs should tell many how far out these people are to what we should embrace in a leader (s).
Heck, ole Mitt might come out and claim that corporations are in fact people-oops, he did! Gulp. He made millions and millions buying and striping companies of employees and assets—just the kinda guy we want to represent our country.
It would be funny if it wernt so sad-

kootchmanMemberWell we tried amateur, no experience..and that isn’t working…guess we will try knowledgable and see if that and experience helps.

JoBParticipantkootchman
amateur?
you mean Bush Jr?
knowledge and experience?
Cheney pulling his strings, doing what he knew wouldn’t work because he was padding his nest
perhaps we should try something really novel…
integrity

redblackParticipantMBM: i have yet to see a republican politician who can define – let alone live up to – “purity of purpose.”
except when it comes to campaign donations.

MBarrettMillerMember$40,000,000 tossed in and agaisnt the recall of state senators in Wisconsin. State senators—-
What hath the supreme court let loose on earth?
August 12, 2011 at 5:56 am #731896
HMC RichParticipantFunny, I was in Wisconsin when the recall elections were happening.
At least #31,000,000 from union and out of state interests.
But, I am glad all those points from the link were brought up. It will only help the tea party choose the next President of the United States.
August 12, 2011 at 5:57 am #731897
HMC RichParticipantBut it is the law of the land whether we like a supreme court ruling or not. Funny, corporations are people but unborn children are not.
Sorry, meant to hijack the thread.

redblackParticipantcorporate america collectively has about $2 trillion in cash laying around.
think they can’t just buy themselves the next president? obama has said it will cost him $1 billion to campaign for 2012. to big money, $1 billion is nothing more than an investment.
now, i’d like to see you tell me with a straight face that unions have that kind of buying power.
by the way, rich, if corporations are people, they should have exactly one vote per corporation.
but, yeah, i’m okay with giving a fetus the right to vote. why not? not sure how it’s going to get its absentee ballot in there, sign the thing, or get it to the mail on its own… but what the hell?
August 12, 2011 at 2:06 pm #731899
JoBParticipantHMCRich…
LOL…
“out of state interests”
you mean small donors like me?
our deep pockets are going to outspend heavy rollers like Koch?
not in my lifetime.
deep pockets like Koch already made sure our pockets were empty before setting up his run.
The tea party would be more honest if they just put Koch up as their candidate…
because that is what they are selling
August 12, 2011 at 2:07 pm #731900
JoBParticipantredblack…
if the fetus gets a vote
will it belong to the custodial parent?
i am all for doubling up on the women’s vote :)

kootchmanMemberyet… you all interestingly, repeatedly, ignore the fact that. in the general election … the Democratic base out raised, out spent the Republicans… redblack..all you have to do is read the Federal election commission report…labor unions outspent corporation donations… So if the unions who DID outspend corporate donations do it it is ok? Unions being the “little people”…..that myth what exploded… was it last time? Obama almost 800 million,, McCain a little over 300 million? Are you afraid all the little white collar people are going to bundle and do the same thing? It’s just leap frog finances. Last time corporate money ( except telecoms who had a regulatory debt to pay off to Obama) stayed on the sidelines… now that they know what the other side bought and paid for… You are probably right..the Republicans will not be outspent again… ypu’d think though..IBM, Google, Amazon..and all that computer tech in AX, all the financials… why hasn’t the cyber war started yet? An all out assault on Puffington Post, MoveOn, DNC..MediaMatters.. lay waste to the donor funnel… wonder if it is in planning? Maybe the military fearing cuts is actually practicing right now…all thos DoD hacks are just drills? Paranoia politics..I think you are all just lying the groundwork for a new round of blame.. “Bush did it” got too old…too worn out, no one except the die-hards trot it out.. now… next we will have “the corporation money did it”…. never our policies, execution and competency sucked… never that!
August 12, 2011 at 5:11 pm #731904
kootchmanMemberCareful MBM, JoB…. give the fetus “life” status… the whole abortion debate hinges on a fetus is not “life”… I know it was tongue in cheek… but.
August 12, 2011 at 5:14 pm #731905
kootchmanMemberWhy would Koch take such a pay cut? It’s cheaper to be a puppet master then a puppet… whose jerkin’ the Obama strings?
