Kenley looks like Bettie. Kenley’s style is retro but I thought she had a strong resemblance physically too.

Wow, how weird. I never knew just exactly who she was until last week, when I read a newspaper article about her (not that that all of a sudden qualifies me as an expert). Anyway, the story I read made me really admire her, and since then I’ve seen images of her all over. Selective awareness I guess? Now this. Weird. I like the quote in the linked article about how she was able to seem coy and innocent even with her clothes off. The picture they used is a great demonstration of that. She just seems to say, “Hey, why are y’all being so darn serious? Enjoy all these good things that life is bringing you, for goodness’ sake, cos they ain’t gonna last forever!” I wish I looked so good with that hairstyle, too, dang it (yeah yeah, never mind the bikini). :)

I was saddened to hear of her passing. She had that wonderful twinkle in her eye. She will live on in pictures and paintings.
