RainierMemberWho took immediate action when he was told of the Jeep Cherokee owner who had parked his car diagonally in the lot, taking up two spots. (Insert rant for said self-absorbed Jeep Cherokee owner here). He was polite yet firm in telling him to park correctly next time. Just so you know, I had your back. Thank you!

kootchmanMemberThe parking spaces are too narrow and it prevents dents and scrapes. In spacious lots it’s a no no…. but that parking lot at Safeway Lincoln Square? If it’s that one……

Spring ChickenMemberI saw that car taking up 2 parking spaces at Jefferson Square Safeway!
My first thought was “I bet that’s kootchman!”
I guessed right? LOL!!

RainierMemberI agree that parking lot provides too narrow spots but parking correctly is still doable. But the incident I was referring to was at the West Seattle Library in N. Admiral. That library has I think eight spots plus one handicap spot-too few to accommodate space hogs.

JoBParticipantlove our librarians

JanSParticipantand if you can’t fit your car in the spot in the lot? park on the street and walk…geez…no one is privileged…get over yourselves…

SonomaParticipantPark at the Metropolitan Market, buy yourself something yummy, then walk 47 seconds to the library.

bailecyclistParticipantStreet parking at that library is almost nonexistent. It’s all taken up by Metropolitan Market employees. So, I park in the Metro Market lot. Quid pro quo.

bailecyclistParticipantForgot to mention – love our librarians. They are the best, and they put up with mandatory unpaid furloughs and all kinds of indignities. Heroes!

JiggersMemberThere is a property tax-levy vote coming up in August to make sure they(librarians) still have a job. It will make a dent in the property taxes you pay if it passes. The proposal in my mind is quite steep. But it is up to you and how you vote.

bailecyclistParticipantI am a hearty supporter of libraries. The West Seattle Library is always full of users – all ages. What a wonderful resource. The Levy gets my vote.

mtnfreakParticipantDon’t be afraid to park in the Metropolitan lot. I believe their parking lot signs simply ask that you don’t park there for more than 4 hours – they don’t indicate that the lot is only available for Metropolitan customers. I know a lot of West Seattle Crossfit and the dog care customers use the Metropolitan lot as well.
