On Oct. 22 I posted about the cracked west Seattle bridge, in the politic section, not one comment concerning the bridge was received. I took telephoto photos of the cracks and sent them to the city road crew, who said they were aware of it, So I guess the major was aware of it too.
Well couldn’t be a better time to fix the bridge then now. Imagine if we had a earthquake. Hopefully Federal Funding will be available during these tough times.
The Roxbury route to the 1st. ave. bridge will need special attention with traffic signals and other limiting ideas to keep all the west Seattle traffic moving downtown.
One improvement that I can think of at this moment is the Safeway store has a exit lane onto SW Roxbury street, that lane should be a right turn only, no left turn, there is no light. Similar problem at west end of parking lot.
One other item is all west Seattle residents should get free “good to go passes” for the Tunnel. More on this later.
I am enjoying my time at home.
