justcuzMemberWe’re a week away and everyone’s invited, so here’s the info!
Let’s “FIX” the Problem Together –
a benefit for Feral Cat Assistance & Trapping
and Friends of the Animals Foundation
Saturday, April 10, 2:00 – 5:00 PM
RockSport Bar & Grill, 4209 SW Alaska
An afternoon of great people raising funds for two groups whose work is based in West Seattle and reaches out to many Western Washington communities.
Event proceeds will:
• spay and neuter cats from all walks of life
• assist in feral colony maintenance
• provide for medical and health needs of feral, rescue, and low-income cats.
All ages welcome; no admission cost. There will be lots of silent auction items and raffle prizes, plus chair massages and psychic readings for a suggested donation. Come for the whole three hours or as long as you can; just join us!
Donations of wet or dry cat food are always appreciated and will gladly be accepted at the door.
Visit http://www.fafseattle.org or http://www.feraltrapping.com for more, or go here for event details: http://tinyurl.com/LetsFIXtheProblemTogether
Thanks for being part of the solution – see you there!
p.s. – and yes, though the humans are preparing for this sure-to-be-fun event, there are some amazing cats available for adoption. Click on my user name to see FCAT’s and you can meet FAF kitties at Next to Nature.

GenHillOneParticipantAnd cross-posting Jan’s request here to consolidate!
We have someone who’s not going to be able to make it, so looking for a massage therapist (or two, we’ll just offer more!) to donate their time to work for 1.5 hr (90min) doing chair massage at the event. Having your own massage chair is preferable, but we can work around that. Time would be either 2pm to 3:30pm or 3:30pm to 5pm. If interested, PLEASE contact me at mmfeelgood at gmail dot com.

justcuzMemberWe’re counting down to Saturday and the response has been wonderful! There are plenty of must-haves in the silent auction for all ages and interests too. How often do you get to “shop” like this for a good cause without getting dressed up or even buying a ticket? Hope to see you there!

BonnieSeattleMemberGirl Scout Troop 50253 has been volunteering with F.C.A.T. for two months, and we even made the toys to be given away at the Benefit Auction on SATURDAY from 2-5 at RockSport. Come down and meet the girls who have volunteered their time with Pamela for a couple months. They have raised nearly 100# of cat-food and learned a ton about this problem. The donations will offset neutering, cat-food, and medical costs associated with this volunteer organization. F.C.A.T. joins F.A.F. for this Auction. Good stuff to be had!!!

JanSParticipantwow…just 2 more days to go. What a great event this will be. And there’ll be something for everyone!
Bonnie…many thanks to your Girl Scout troop for their helping hands :)

justcuzMemberLooks like we’re going to have good weather tomorrow and the 2:00 – 5:00 window is a perfect time to visit RockSport! Stop by between yard work, baseball games, Saturday date night, whatever your plans. All ages (both restaurant and bar areas open), all attire (gardening jeans, uniforms, lol) are welcome. You have to eat, right? And you can support FAF & FCAT while you’re at it. See you there!

hammerheadParticipantI will be handing out FCAT badges to the Girlscout girls for all of their help. This will be a tear jerker for those who know me. I am very proud of these young ladies so please come and join in the fun and help raise money for S/N of cat and dogs in need.
April 10, 2010 at 7:42 am #692045

April 11, 2010 at 1:27 am #692051
JanSParticipantEmmyJane…tons of people…tons of stuff in the silent auction. It was lots and lots of fun, for sure. They were counting when I left @ 5:30pm, so probably don’t have a grand total yet.

SueParticipantI’m sorry I missed it – I had plans up north and was gone from noon – 6. :( Hope it was successful!
Jan, I hope you got the massage therapists you needed. I forwarded the info to a LMT friend of mine who said he’d pass it along to others. Don’t know if any of them contacted you.
April 11, 2010 at 4:24 am #692054
JanSParticipantSue and JoB…you missed a good time. JoB…I took a sudden nap when I got home :)
