Downsizing Grandma – Boxes Needed

Getting ready to downsize my elderly mom from a big home into an apartment and the packing seems daunting!

Before we go spend a lot at the U-Haul store, I thought it might be worth checking here to see if anyone has any left over moving materials they might be willing to part with in the next week or so… Mainly medium to large moving boxes preferably broken down.

Check on craigslist– often there are posts for “come pick ’em up” boxes.

I will be moving back into my kitchen in the next week, and have a dozen or so boxes I’d categorize as small. They are mostly the boxes that xerox paper comes in. Post back here if you’d like to take them. They are better if not broken down.

dcn, your boxes might work for the smaller stuff that won’t go with the movers. I’ll have a better idea after this weekend, so your timing may be good. I’ll check back here next week!
