Taking off from the thread Bob started about the West Seattle organizing meeting for Bernie Sanders,

There will be a rally for Bernie Sanders for President on Saturday, August 8

Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion

3870 Montlake Blvd NE

Doors open at 6pm, event begins at 7 pm

He’ll also be one of several speakers at an earlier event organized by Social Security Works Washington in support of Medicare and Social Security at Westlake Park starting at 1 pm.

One thing seems certain. the movement behind Bernie.. and yes.. the one behind Trump as well.. is a really good indication that America is not happy with the status quo

I can’t speak to Trump’s utterances because so far i haven’t heard much that doesn’t belong on reality television

but when Bernie speaks people listen because they are sure that he has their best interests at heart.

if our political parties want to survive.. they are going to have to listen. Because whether Bernie ultimately wins the nomination or not.. business as ususal will have to change
