City Ordinance 11.72.205 states a car can not drip oil on the streets.

I have a neighbor who decided that they don’t want oil dripping in their driveway so they decided to park their car on the street. After a couple of months, there’s now a 6ftx4ft area covered in oil/grease on the street. They also like to leave car parts in front of their home/curb.
Anyone know who to notify about this?

Global climate models represent the planet as millions of grid boxes and then solve mathematical equations to calculate how energy is transferred between those boxes using the laws of thermodynamics. If done correctly, these models of how energy is cycled through all parts of the planet can be used to estimate dozens of environmental variables ( winds, temperature, moisture, etc. ). The models are tested by simulating historical conditions and then matching the results to our historical observational records. If the models can adequately recreate the past, they are then run forward in time to predict what may happen in the future.
As I understand it, the CMIP5 models were constructed and run somewhere around 2008-2010. If so, it seems that a vertical line should be drawn on the various charts on that year to indicate that everything to the left is hindcasting and only to the right is forecasting. Otherwise these charts seem to imply the models have decades of accuracy rather than decades of modification to fit known data.

This gorgeous evergreen was mislabeled a dwarf when it we planted in our parking strip. After several years of minimal growth, it’s now clear it’s going to be a tall evergreen and it’s completely outgrowing the space where it was planted. It’s grown into such a beauty we’d keep it anyway but the branches are beginning to grow over the sidewalk and street.
We have been told it may be a deodor cedar however we’ve received misinformation on this tree in the past.
Healthy adult trees like this cost well over $250 at a nursery if they are even available. We’re offering it for just $25 if you move the tree.

While rising carbon dioxide concentrations in the air can be beneficial for plants, it is also the chief culprit of climate change. The gas, which traps heat in Earth’s atmosphere, has been increasing since the industrial age due to the burning of oil, gas, coal and wood for energy and is continuing to reach concentrations not seen in at least 500,000 years.
How convenient for the IPCC WG1AR5 to NOT consider water vapor as a forcing, thus leading NASA to make such silly statements as above.

Maybe by cutting down huge swaths of forests, plowing the land, or covering it with pavement and cities we have fundamentally altered the much, much larger natural carbon cycle.
In the past 150 years humans have gone from using 4% of the lands surface to using 40% of the land surface, so to assume this has minimal effect is naïve.
Or maybe by exterminating most of the plankton eating great wales of the ocean we have fundamentally altered the natural carbon cycle.
Or maybe the warming of the planet since the end of the Little Ice Age has fundamentally altered the natural carbon cycle.
No one really knows the answer to these basic questions, beyond the accuracy of the proverbial WAG. So to assume that cutting emissions will cut CO2 remains at this time just an assumption.

Here’s the problem, and the legality that the administration faces as the administration tries to give away money to these international climate change groups: it’s now prohibited by law. On March 17, 2016 – the U.N. officially recognized the so-called ‘State of Palestine.’ They said that the ‘ State of Palestine ’ is a full member of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
According to a 1994 law, passed by the House, passed by the Senate ( both controlled by the Democrats at the time ), signed into law, the United States cannot give any money to ‘ an affiliated organization of United Nations ’ that grants the Palestinians membership as a state. It’s called the 1994 Foreign Relations Authorization Act. These climate change groups are clearly affiliated organizations of the U.N.The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – the organization that the Palestinian group, this so-called State of Palestine, just joined as a member state – says on its own website that it is ‘ institutionally linked ’ to the U.N. It also reports that the Green Climate Fund is one of it – it says – its ‘ constituted bodies, ’ so there’s a direct link.
The pipeline of money that the Obama administration is planning to send to these organizations must be shut off.
That’s what happened in 2011, when the Palestinian group joined the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – commonly known as UNESCO. That triggered a similar 1990 law – and the United States has not given any money to UNESCO ever since.
