Okay…all that’s remaining is the small admittance fee. ;)
NR…why did I think you live in Arbor Heights? I’ve only been on the good drugs lately, so must have been a mind hiccup. So that would make you not all that far from me, too…being as I’m just across from Adm.Safeway, and down the street from Hiawatha Playfield :) We’re neighbors, sorta…
Hey westseattledood, if you end up with too much, just give me a holler.
Definition: Jim McDermott
Although I will most likely get the opportunity to vote for Obama for president…the democrat party (and the spelling is intended) is far from democratic even in it’s nomination process. Mind you, I completely support that party’s right to define it’s process the way it wants, but the irony is abundant.
If the Democrat Party was truly democratic, why would:
Puerto Rico be allowed to vote to nominate, but note in the actual election?
Why are there caucuses?
Why do some caucus states not report the popular vote to the national commitee?
Why do they have super delegates?
Why would Hilly and Billy claim a popular vote victory with only the votes and states they feel are valid?
Why have delegates at all?
What’s your definition of a right-wing nut in Texas?
Asks his flock to vomit their sins into paper bags? (No, I’m not making this up.)
Believes he has a direct line to Jesus?
Drives a Hummer to overcompensate for his other size issues?
Hates people who don’t share his religious views?
Hates gay people?
Lies and deceives to get their way?
Lacks a true conscience?
Is ignorant?
Etc., etc. Look here, I actually have some conservative views, but the nutjobs on the extreme have highjacked the Republican/Conservative platform and used it to their own greedy advantage.
Interesting article in today’s Times about a website where people can upload photos from cameras, memory cards, etc. that they find in hopes of reuniting them with their owners!

I’m proud to be a liberal, a vegetarian, and a reasonably sane person. I don’t know of any vegan restaurants in West Seattle, but I’ll bet some of the Thai places could prepare vegan dishes. And I, too, am a fan of Georgetown Liquor Company. Oh, by the way, I hear that being a carnivore who digs eating dead flesh makes you a crazy, right-wing conservative, like Pastor Hegge. Just kidding, Jiggers, but the kind of generalizations you make are tired and lame.
oops that was supposed to be in fact not in face :) toooo early :)
Than Brothers Pho!!! yummy and what a deal!!
Pegasus Pizza, for the family nights
Bamboo bar and grill for sunday breakfast…in face that is where we are heading now :)
Starshmucks patron?
Cell phone slut?
Bicycle happy mofo?
Veggy extremist?
Jim McDermott’s bend over buddy?
Vote yes on everything?
LTGB?
I love to protest and back traffic up?
Anymore?
sbux has been using the “old” logo to promote the new Pike Place Blend since it was introduced back in April. I have a mug, which I purchased at the Pike Place store & is only available there, that displays the original, unedited version of the old logo. It does indeed show breasts on the mermaid, nipples included. I purchased the mug a year or two ago, so I do not know if you can still get this same mug at the Pike Place store.
That version of the logo was fine 20 years ago. I don’t really understand why people find it so challenging now.
Last night we had Dinner at Spring Hill and loved it! We got a table right next to the area were the dishes leave the open kitchen and that way got a great look at all their offerings.
To start off we split the mussels and ordered the rolls to dip them into the broth. For our entrees we had the tagliatelle and the roasted duck breast. Everything was delicious.
We also thought the interior design was very well executed and functional. Overall, a great addition to the Junction.
Please, if you have a couple minutes, you should read this. It’s a short article.
Let’s compare to Obama’s record.
Anyone?
Jiggers – I think you’re right.
If you think finding a “vegetarian” restaurant is difficult, try being a “raw foodist”. Very bizarre diet indeed.
(Ok, maybe not “bizarre”, don’t want to offend anyone, but challenging to say the least)
Can we have more than 1?
Love Jak’ (the food and ambiance)
Love La Rustica (the food and ambiance)
Angelina’s (the food and they are ALWAYS open – we tend to eat at weird times)
Luna Cafe (when it is sunny and warm and you can actually get a table outside)
Mission (the food is great)
We finally found them open last Monday. We had a cheese burger and black bean burger with the peppers, french fries and onion rings it was all very tasty-and the best part was the friendly, fun service.
Just a follow up on my repair. I got in within a couple of days, they got the job done as promised and even washed my car (including wheels).
I would not hesitate to use them again the next time I get rear-ended on the Spokane Street viaduct. Good work and down to earth people.
Buddha Ruksa, crispy garlic prawns!
Did anyone happen to read the Nader interview in the WSJ yesterday?
Thoughts?
Awesome that you may have already found something!
We are in the Belvidere neighborhood (very close to the Admiral and Alaska junctions) and I will try and find out exactly where those homes for rent are located that I have seen. Just in the case the other doesn’t work out.
I live in this neighborhood, too, and we just love it! Welcome to WS ellenater & family!
Patient: Doctor! Help me! I can’t seem to stop thinking about sex!
Doctor: Well, let’s do an experiment. I’ll show you various images and you tell me what you see.
[Doctor shows patient several Rorschach inkblots and, for every one, the patient says they show some kind of sexual act]
Doctor: Well, you do seem to be overly preoccupied with sex.
Patient: Me? You’re the one with all the dirty pictures!
Ok..I’ll start it off and say Jak’s is mines when I can aafford to eat their.
