I watched every minute closely. I hate these are so little about substance as they are about appearances and supposed ability. The president certainly appeared more presidential – what ever that means. With the world stage watching…you would think a few more manners would be displayed…but it was mostly civil.

Why should there need to be “Fact Checkers” or “Truth Squads” with the candidates? Do they honestly believe we won’t go out and see if what they said was true? The information they both spout about each others defects or pieces of plans should be readily available and known as “these are the facts of the most pressing issues today – NO SPIN”, and posted for all of us to see. Real facts…not estimates. This is no time for estimates…your teams are smarter than this.

How about a big red “X” box over each candidates chair when they get caught in an untruth? Or the moderator gets to buzz them for too much bullshit?

Exaggeration or outright falsehoods or even accepting credit for something you only played a role in are annoying enough.

Repeatedly spouting figures (big numbers) for the sake of spouting %’s, $ figures, mis-promises…about what each other didn’t do…boring.

Forgetting your talking points…forgivable in the heat of the moment…but for the questioner’s sake…answer the question directly! No round about bs about what you did or he didn’t do…

“What are you going to do about getting assault weapons off the street?” (while a complex issue…they didn’t answer it!).

“My 5 point plan…”

Details boys…details…We should not have to search your website or have interpretation from mis-guided news heads about your plan.

Sadly…still undecided…

Gut is telling me that our President has not had enough time to prove himself…(kind of always thought president terms should be 6 years anyway).

Nagging feeling is telling me it could get worse and if 2 years down the road…we have voting remorse.
