Time to get ready for this year — we’ll be offering lots of info on that shortly — for starters, the city just announced a new round of free “disaster prep” classes, including two next month in WS.
Morgan Community Association (MoCA – morganjunction.org) will hold it’s next meeting at the Kenney Center (Fauntleroy & Myrtle) on Wednesday, October 17 (check the MoCA website for details). The focus of this meeting is emergency preparedness and the MoCA team has been working hard to come up with additional items beyond the city’s SNAP program (http://www.seattle.gov/emergency/programs/snap). Residents in the general vicinity of Morgan Junction are invited to attend and participate. Actually, anyone is invited since this is too important to limit to just a single neighborhood.
