Week in review, via reader pix

This holiday week has been anything but quiet. Along the way, we received three reader pix we didn’t get a chance to use. Click ahead to see them:

Last Tuesday, a quizzical sighting at Uptown Espresso in The Junction; a big stuffed elephant spent most of the day on the side of the railing closest to Edmunds (hmm, were the 34th Dist. Republicans nearby?):

Fourth of July morning, Hizzoner appearing at the near-his-house Admiral Kids’ Parade (in a suit? on a holiday? no red-white-n-blue polo shirt?):

Fifth of July early morning, smoke (and flashing SFD lights) from the High Point fire, photographed by LyndaB from the 34th/Juneau vicinity:

We love to get your photos as well as info and are usually a lot more timely about posting them; keep this address handy (put us in your wireless “contact list” too – just in case there’s something urgent to send).

Does anyone know the name of the band (two female acoustical) that was at the WS Farmers Market today?

According to the Herald, it was supposed to be “the Pelusa Band.” However, according to their site at pelusaband.com, they’re a male/female duo (with occasional guests).

The pic of Hizzoner was mine and regarding the suit, he mentioned in his speech that he was embarrassed that he was wearing it, but he was on his way to swear in some new Americans downtown after the parade.

He and his wife were available for handshakes and photos during the parade too, which we might have taken him up on had our basset hound not decided that the scrap of lawn across from the mayor would be a good place to answer the call of the wild.

Sorry, comment time is over.
