Until this article turned up in today’s Times, we had no idea WS is home to a champion “competitive eater.” The article mentions he’s got a blog; looks like this is it.

    This is one claim to fame that I wish WS did not have! The whole idea of competitive eating is offensive to me. In a world where so many people do not have enough to eat; and with Washington State high on the list of states with the most hungry children; its a flagrant show of excess to revel in such a disgusting activity.
