charlabobParticipantWell, he won a long time ago, but now the Minnesota Supremes found for him (unanimously) and against Coleman (on every count.)

JanSParticipantit’s about time !!!!!does it take this long for everything else in Minnesota to get done? geesh..
June 30, 2009 at 8:44 pm #670962
Tonya42MemberGod I feel for Minnesota!!! Good luck!
June 30, 2009 at 8:46 pm #670963
JenVMemberyeah, it would be much better if Coleman drug it out a little bit longer at the taxpayers expense, wouldn’t it?
June 30, 2009 at 9:40 pm #670964
mom2sorenMemberAwesome!
June 30, 2009 at 10:13 pm #670965
charlabobParticipantHe may, Jen. He has ten more days to stall–‘er, appeal.
Don’t worry, Tonya — that special faction of Minnesota’s demographic still has Michelle Bachman to embarrass — ‘er, represent them. :-)

HMC RichParticipantMichelle kicks butt. She would destroy Franken in a debate. I guess we just disagree.
Coleman will not take this any further. It is over. Dems now basically have a majority if everyone essentially goes by party line. That puts the credit or blame directly on their shoulders.
We shall see what happens.
June 30, 2009 at 10:39 pm #670967
JenVMemberisn’t she the one who thinks there’s a census conspiracy?
June 30, 2009 at 11:05 pm #670968
KenParticipantBachman would indeed be a better satirist than Franken… But she actually believes all the crazy stuff that comes out of her mouth.
That kinda disqualifies her as a satirist.
July 1, 2009 at 12:59 am #670969
CaitParticipantI’m surprised her political career isn’t over after the coverage Olbermann/Maddow/et al did of her facepalm moment during the election.
I think Franken would steamroll her! HMC! Let’s get out our Politican Edition Magic The Gathering Cards and declare WAR! :)
July 1, 2009 at 1:09 am #670970
JanSParticipantMichelle Bachman? Seriously?
July 1, 2009 at 2:23 am #670971
JoBParticipantI lived in Minnesota and got the opportunity to listen to Al Franken steamroll Michelle Bauchman in a small town meeting :)))
Let the games begin…
NPR says Coleman has finally conceded.. gracefully.
I doubt he is paying the state back for the expenses incurred tho.
July 1, 2009 at 2:47 am #670972
CaitParticipantWhy can’t I remember that dimwitted quote she made during the election? I know the mention of her name makes me want to kick something… but why? I need… like… a YouTube clip or something but I can’t find one…

mom2sorenMemberOK, back to Franken. It’s a done deal:

charlabobParticipantThanks M2S — I just googled Michelle Bachman quotations and didn’t know where to start. :-)
Rich, you are kidding, right? Yeah, we’ll have to disagree.
According to my opposition research, the Repu* Party has ordained that Pawlenty (current gov of Minnesota) will run for Pres and Coleman can replace him as gov. That’s why they “let Franken steal the election.” I trust that the people of Minnesota will be allowed to pretend to vote before these imaginary results are certified.
July 1, 2009 at 5:45 am #670978
CountingCoupMemberAl Franken will be a great Senator for Minnesota…
I’m glad he is getting his chance to serve his state, good for him and the people whom elected him!
July 1, 2009 at 5:54 am #670979
CaitParticipantOMG! YES! The first one! Oh man that takes me back to the election days. The hand wringing, the late-night cursing… the almost-ulcers… *sigh* Yes.
The Maddow/Olbermann/Matthews crowd had such a field day with that one… that comment was to MSNBC what the Oscars are to E! Entertainment TV.
July 1, 2009 at 5:58 am #670980
CountingCoupMemberI loved Keith’s opening tonight on Michelle Bachman, the evil laugh had me busting a stitch! hahaha
July 1, 2009 at 7:28 am #670981
HMC RichParticipantFor a group that is so PC, you sure like to slam others with different views. Nothing new there.
15a. Tony Rezco, a fine upstanding Crook (Sweetheart Housing Deal). Bill Ayers, Former Domestic Terrorist, Liberation Theology from Reverend Wright (Gee I thought religious institutions weren’t supposed to be political) Even Oprah dumped that church and its rhetoric. No wonder the Vatican views churches who teach that stuff heresy. (Don’t get me wrong, Reverend Wright is extremely intelligent and knows of what he speaks of) Matthews fudging poll numbers. Check the gallup poll for the liberal moderate and conservative breakdown. Chris was wrong, again.
The founders did not want a strong central government.
Tell me where she lied. I don’t think I have enough time to watch all of these but I will give it a shot.
July 1, 2009 at 7:34 am #670982
HMC RichParticipantCharlabob, Pawlenty is not on my radar since I am not looking for the next Republican president . . .yet. Just like the MSM in the primary elections, people are looking to pick a winner or contender too soon.
No one other than maybe Romney or Palin can be considered yet because not enough time has passed for this administration and congress to be judged quite yet. It is too early. Maybe I will start a Bachmann for President group in Seattle. Ya Sure you betcha. Pass da brats and beer!
July 1, 2009 at 7:44 am #670983
JoBParticipantCharlabob…
Having seen Pawlenty up close and far too personally… he would be the perfect Republican candidate.
I got to meet a lot of Minnesota political personalities through the women’s organization i belonged to :(
HMCRich..
after Katrina i got to listen to Michelle Bachman entertain the kitchen crowd at a Tea Party with her belief that the people of New Orleans deserved what happened to them because of their great sin… and that it was their own fault they chose not to leave the city..
this was wile people were literally dieing in the Coliseum.
it was my last tea party with that crowd… and the last time i attended any event with her.
