SEEN OFF WEST SEATTLE: Aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, inbound

Thanks for the tip. Might be hard to see through the rain and murk, but the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) is inbound, passing Alki Point. It’s been out at sea for a week and a half. It’s been exactly four months since it changed homeports to Bremerton.

Sorry, wasn’t at all intending it as clickbait. People saw it. Just didn’t send us pics, and I couldn’t get down the hill in time.

Thanks for the information WSB and this isn’t click bait. It is unlikely that massive ship passed by “unseen”.  I, for one, always appreciate being informed about what is happening around West Seattle.  The media can be print, photos, or videos.   Perhaps if I had saw said aircraft carrier while strolling on Alki, I might wonder which aircraft carrier it was.  I do believe that the USS Nimitz is also based in Washington and I can’t tell the difference other than knowing that big ship is an aircraft carrier. I would check the WSB and like 99% of the people, I would be satisfied with the timely information on what I just read. There are tens of thousands of readers who check the WSB first for local information.   If the WSB always waited for a picture, it would not be timely.  Just think if the WSB waited for a picture of the orcas before saying orcas are currently in Elliott Bay.

I thought the USS RONALD REGAN just left the port. Its heading back pretty quick.

Sorry, comment time is over.
