JanSParticipanthave you seen how huge their pizzas are? They’re 28 inches across…amazingly huge…so, yes, the price reflects that.

JayDeeParticipantHeck with that upmarket Fried Chicken at $42 just up the street it was bound to happen. Yesterday Honest Biscuit in the FM had a $42 biscuit…Of course that was yesterday…

JoBParticipantSomehow..
i don’t think i am going to pay that for either pizza or chicken
call me cheap
but my dining budget doesn’t stretch that far

owenParticipantHighly important math must be done …
Let’s see a 28″ pie has a radius of 14″ which yields an area of 616 square inches. At $54.99, that works out to about $0.089 per square inch.
A middle of the menu 17″ Pagliacci pie (Extra Pepperoni) for delivery runs $20.49. That buys you 227 square inches of pizza love, at a unit price of $0.09 per square inch.
Not only is that a 1.1% savings, the larger pie will have less crust per unit area (0.14 inches crust per square inch Talarico’s pi versus 0.24 for Pagliacci’s). Not to mention the sit down restaurant in the heart of the junction vs. my living room.
So if the average person consumes 120 square inches of pizza in a meal, next time you have 5.13 mouths to feed you’ll know exactly where to head.
Please excuse the rounding errors.

hammerheadParticipantAnd this my friends is why I FAILED in math in high school. LOL wow

2 Much WhineParticipantKeep in mind that $54.99 is for a “Specialty Pie.” A regular style pizza is $46.99 and even better yet is their awesome happy hour which has slices for four bucks. Happy Hour isn’t just in the bar – kids get happy hour pricing too. Do the math on that and it drops the price of a giant pizza to $32. It’s hard to eat more than a slice of their pizza because they are so big. I often order two slices because I can’t decide what I want and I have NEVER finished the second piece.

HydrangeaMemberThank you for the thorough mathematical analysis, Owen! :-) My husband and I both enjoyed it very much.

velo_nutParticipantBy the way… “just sayin” is SO last year. Nobody says that anymore.

maighdlinMemberWho can eat a whole Talarico’s pie anyway?!?! They’re GIGANTIC!!! Go for Happy Hour and get yourself a HUGE single slice for $4. At that price, you can add a good sized ceasar salad and a beer and have a great dinner (probably with leftovers) for under $15, including tip. :-)

happywalkerParticipantI’ve been wanting to try their pizza. When is Happy Hour?
April 5, 2012 at 7:42 pm #753700
shannonMemberOne time I ordered a Talarico’s pizza for pick up and when I got it out to my car I couldn’t fit it in any of the doors (keeping it flat), I had to put it in the trunk! Just a funny little side note for you all. :)

maighdlinMemberHappywalker,
Happy hour is from 4-6…..I know for sure on Mon-Fri, not sure about the weekends.
