Persons under eighteen would be permitted to possess marijuana obtained pursuant to a valid prescription. You might want to call your bank/CU and see if they have something similar planned. I think they often have these post-April 15th. My CU (Prevail, nee King County CU) has a bin where you can deposit limited amounts on each visit.

If you buy your own shredder (recommended), you should shred anything with your name, address, etc., incl. credit card offers, preprinted donation forms, etc. Crooks can be very creative about using a little useful data to cause lots of trouble. Plain paper can be included in your food waste bin; I would shred carbonless copy paper, etc. separately and include in the garbage instead because of the chemicals.

that’s a tough spot, and if the basement was added later, they might have completed floor and wall construction it two phases: slab poured first, then the walls on top, creating a seam. no way to tell at this point, though.

you could try hydraulic cement. it sets in wet conditions – even under water – and expands to fill cracks. it’s a cheap possible fix if you can get it into that crack. and if it doesn’t fix the problem, it might give you more clues (like if the water is migrating along the bottom of the wall from someplace else and showing up in that closet simply because that’s where you notice it.)

it’s available at true value in the paint/waterproofing aisle, or at home depot in the building materials/concrete mix aisle.

be aware that hydraulic cement cures really quickly, so mix small amounts at a time. you’ll want a small bucket from the paint supply aisle and a margin (rectangular and narrow) trowel from the masonry tools area to mix it and apply it.

if that doesn’t work and you have to go pro, a seam/crack might be an easy job for permadry waterproofing. i’ve never had to use them (knock on wood) but they get stellar reviews from our neighbors:

Happens to me, too. Figured it was because I’m using Firefox on a Linux box but maybe it’s happening to others, too. Once the story is pushed off the first page by other stories it won’t be a problem :-D

for those of you annoyed by the amount of time it takes to load web pages with massive amounts of third-party flash content – like WSB – i have found an add-on for firefox called flashblock.

i emailed TR a couple of weeks ago, complaining about slow page loads and inquiring about a way to load just the headlines on WSB for exactly this reason. the feeds are okay for quick page loads, but imho they should include more – like 50 – of the latest headlines. and frankly, expecting the editors to change the way they do things simply because a handful of us have slower connections is a little unreasonable. (who would have thought that a 1.5 mbps connection would bog down WSB so badly?) but it can’t hurt to ask, right?

but i tell you this: when i installed the flashblock add-on, WSB loaded in about 1/10th the time it takes without the add-on. and what appears in the flash content’s place is the flash logo; when you roll over it, it will allow you to download and play that third-party content. it just doesn’t let your browser go get that content simply to load the front page.
