JoB…when you meet with Mr. Licata, perhaps he might consider a different approach with Seattle’s surplus properties…including the Fire Station on 35th?
Here is the article and my comment

Yes, we reported it on the main page, Mountain to Sound Outfitters (WSB sponsor, http://m2soutfitters.com ) will be hosting it. Should be in the events calendar too. Here’s the news item in which we mentioned it (Oct. 21-23)

I don’t think she can get here from I-5 westbound – since it is closed. Check out the link for more info. https://westseattleblog.com/2011/09/another-traffic-alert-westbound-spokane-st-viaduct-closures
Hi Cait, details are in short supply at the moment as they just opened on Tuesday. Here’s the post re the grand opening: https://westseattleblog.com/2011/09/west-seattle-restaurants-inside-pan-africa-grill-opening-tuesday
So, around 8:45 our doorbell rings — our back door, which means someone came through the alley, through our back gate, and into our yard to ring our bell. Our dogs freak out and we do a little bit, too — when it’s getting close to 9, the nabe is pretty settled down, so anyone coming to the door usually equals an emergency or bad news to us.
We open the door to find a nebbishy middle-aged-looking man with a lariat and ID card around his neck, a clipboard, and an Xfinity shirt saying he notices we’re not on the list for Comcast service (we’re not — we have no cable or satellite at all and happy to keep it that way). We are pretty adamant that we’re not interested, and then I question why he’s out so late, and he gets kind of angry and says “People are at WORK during the day!!” Well, yeah, but generally they’re home by 6:30 or so!!!
Anyone else had this happen? We live in Fairmount Park and we are NOT happy.
I also posted here; sounds like the same shenanigans: https://westseattleblog.com/2011/09/door-to-door-and-yard-to-yard-alert-comcast-again
Corporate exchanged e-mail with us a few times this morning, including followup questions from us, and this is their final “official statement” – they’re closed TFN. Also explains what to do if you have one of those “deals” …

I’d been working on the story a few days, as discussed in another thread. They now say it is closed till further notice. Don’t know about an “emergency at the store,” however. Their official statement is in our story:

Here is an update. The Fridge is still available, and I am attaching a link to the craigslist posting that has pictures and more detail. I am asking $500 on craigslist, but will honor the price of $375 if you response from the WSBlog.

The hutch and sewing machine are sold. However, I still have a 3 drawer oak filing cabinet for $20.00

There was a post on here about two weeks ago that asked the same thing. Why not start there? https://westseattleblog.com/forum/topic/new-to-wsplanning-wedding
Does anyone have information about the fried PB&J that was featured at Summer Fest? I missed it and was hoping it would make a comeback at the Mobile Chowdown.
Here’s a link to the thread about the PB&J a couple months ago: https://westseattleblog.com/forum/topic/deep-fried-pbj-at-summer-fest
Any insider information?
Thank you!

Hi. The survey is not related to the Tervo’s project – we saw it set up across the street too. There are survey crews around here all the time and it’s almost impossible to tell what they’re for – we drive that stretch multiple times daily and see one almost every week. Lots of property in that area is in motion. We have already reported that Tervo’s is being remodeled into Corner Market #2 (that’s what all the work is about):

Few dozen WSB’ers commenting on our home=page story about it – I first heard of it when e-mail came in from a longtime reader saying “was there a quake?”!

ghar72 — thanks for the heads up on the rebate; our condo bldg is going through a massive reconstruction and I want to use this chance to install ductless heating/cooling. I’ve been looking at the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim but haven’t gotten further than reading their pretty unintelligible brochures (which seem designed for an HVAC installer.) Bel-Red Heating and Air is one of their ‘approved’ installers.

I connected with Fraz, he’s reaching out to his employees to make sure everyone knows how to redeem the vouchers. The vouchers are good for 1 sandwich, 1 chip and 1 soda(https://tippr.com/offer/promotion-for-subway/)as mentioned in the promotion.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience as this is not how we intend for our deals to be. Fraz will be connecting with all of his employees and this should not be an issue moving forward.
If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to reach me directly at: Jennifer@tippr.com as I’ll be happy to help you.
The City Council actually did try to do to junk mail what it did to phone books. As mentioned above, junk mail has a much stronger lobby.

Folks are out looking for a supernova and comet as we speak, so maybe related. Also could have been the ISS *or* a meteor.
