As it happens, due to my long-time enjoyment of European and Japanese fencing (Kendo), there is a large collection of knives, bayonets, swords and fencing gear available for purchase. Some of these items are authentic original pieces. Others are nicely made replicas.
The fencing gear includes foils, epees, sabers and both European and Japanese protective items. The Japanese kendo hand and head “armor” are genuine antique collector’s items.
Among the above mentioned politically incorrect items are two crossbows. A small modern one … and … a large medieval replica made of wood and sinew. Bolts-arrows are available for both crossbows.
For the preppers and adventurers, we have a never used four burner propane stove and a really nice (and hard-to-find) two-burner unleaded-gas burning Coleman camp stove.
And, last-but-not-least, for old tool enthusiasts, we have an antique two-man saw, an ancient blacksmith-made cedar shingle splitting froe … and … limbing hatchets and axe heads galore.

Is anyone interested in converting this intersection to a 4 way stop? Currently traffic on SW Oregon can speed through the intersection while traffic on 44th SW has to wait to cross or turn onto SW Oregon. It can be a busy intersection with a bus stop and increased traffic when SW Alaska is closed for events and Farmer’s Market. Visibility of drivers coming uphill from 45th is limited, so it can be tricky here both for drivers and people walking and cycling to get across safely. I have been asking SDOT to consider this for almost 10 years as a low cost safety improvement. I am trying to learn through this forum if there is any grass roots support for this idea.

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
Foster a positive and supportive environment where children feel safe and engaged
Encourage and model age-appropriate social interactions, problem-solving, and emotional expression
Supervise and participate in indoor and outdoor play, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
Support classroom organization, including setup and cleanup of activities, snack preparation, and material management
Engage with children’s families as needed, supporting open communication and a welcoming environment
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, as provided
Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred)
Experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured environment is strongly preferred
Knowledge of early childhood development, with a focus on social-emotional skills
Ability to engage with young children and foster a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment
Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, children, and families
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
