    I wanted to let the people know that there is a guy driving around, pretending to be an Uber driver. He drives a black Tesla (so uncommon, I know), and he will say that he is there to pick you up if you ask.
    He looks familiar and I think he might be a West Seattle resident, but I obviously did not get his name.

    Utterly ridiculous. The scenario you describe is so far-fetched. when would this person have the opportunity to tell someone they are there to pick them up? It’s not like you’re standing outside waiting and he can pull up. What is your source?

    Are u sure he wasn’t a real driver looking for his pick-up? It’s happened to me more than once.

    The source is that it happened to me and the same person picked up one of my coworkers.
    I know it was a fake Uber because he asked me for cash or to pay via Zelle, so when I asked if he was an Uber, he said that he was “Waiting for approval.”

    Have you contacted Uber? Would think they’d want to know. Perhaps he was legit, but just didn’t have all the signed paperwork yet. If he wasn’t legit then Uber should be getting the word out.
