While out walking our dog Friday night July 4, my husband found a car key on the road/sidewalk in the vicinity of 39th Ave SW and SW Kenyon St. The car key was on a ring with a leather emblem hanging off it, in the shape of an identifiable insect. If you recently lost your car key in that area, please reach out. I’m not in Seattle right now, but I will get him the message – he has the key, in Gatewood, West Seattle. For verifiability and security purposes, first describe accurately the make of the car key as well as the leather insect. Thanks.

West Seattle’s progressive synagogue is dedicated to Torah (Learning), Avodah (Worship/Prayer), Tzedek, (Justice) Tikkun (Healing),
and Kehilah (Community). We are looking for a few excellent teachers for our children’s
education program for the 2025-2026 school year.Small classes and great kids!
Classes meet every Tuesday afternoon from 4:45pm – 6:00pm.
We have openings in our 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes.
Our program uses prayer based curriculum and fluency in Hebrew is not
required. However, the ability to read Hebrew and knowledge about the liturgy are both important.The pay rate is $42 – $45/hour, depending on experience.
Clearly King County Metro is unwilling to give us the service we want in the Admiral District. I ask everyone in the Admiral District who wants all-day 56/57 to go on a peaceful protest. We are sick of waiting for 56/57 service only for it to be reduced further!!! I’m personally very angry with King County for this. They know how much we want more service in the Admiral District! I think they’re going to need more pressure to actually address it anytime soon. Otherwise we’ll likely be waiting at least until 2032 for the light rail extension to be complete.
I know there are plans to redirect the H Line into the Admiral District, but that’s too far into the future. We need more direct service before then!
This is the March 2025 service change. It was an outrage to cut another 56. I know so many of you were unhappy about it. I think if we protest, they might actually comply to us.

My apartment was broken into about a year ago and my very precious and rare backgammon board, which is so rare because it is circular inside, was stolen.I never thought to post about it here, but I very much hope to be reunited with it. It is irreplaceable. The case is brown and the checkers are white and brown. The field has light brown and white triangles in a circular fashion.
