Can anyone suggest a good place for a reception? Appox 100 people, and limited budget (Hall at Fauntleroy is too steep for us).

    Thanks!

Try the Duwamish Longhouse, Salty’s, Herban Feast (SODO), WS Golf Course, Palace Kitchen (downtown). Or if the venue can be outside try contacting SSCC arboretum or the Chinese Garden.

    Good luck!

Masonic Hall, WS Golf Club, Kenyon Hall (though I don’t really know how big that is), SSCC Brockey Center, VFW, and lots of churches will sometimes rent out space.

We’ve had some past venue threads. There are also some unique (I *think* 100 would fit) places like Highland Park Improvement Club, Camp Long Lodge …

We used Salty’s for our wedding reception and they were great, but I think they might be out of SammaJamma’s price range.

I’d go for Camp Long, personally. We wanted to use it but it was too small.

I was also going to mention Kenyon hall. Alki Bath house is another option not yet mentioned (not sure how many it fits).

I also remember seeing some building up near Hiawatha community center but don’t know the name (might have been mentioned already).

the place near Hiawatha is called “The Sanctuary”, but I believe that it is kind of pricey.

VFW was a good place for a reception (been there a few times). Maybe ArtsWest (don’t know if they rent it out). We had a holiday party at the ACT theater once and it was great and that is what made me think of ArtsWest. Villa Hidelberg. I am thinking maybe an older mansion sometimes they rent them out for parties.

Try the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (old Cooper School) on Delridge. http://www.youngstownarts.org

Had my wedding reception there, was very reasonably priced.

the Highland Park Community Club has a hall of SW Kenyon Street; not sure what the capacity is.

Salty’s and Herban Feast are great venues but do not meet the budget criteria inquired about

Alki bathhouse was surprisingly affordable when I was looking into it a couple years ago. :)
Best of luck finding a great space!

Dakota Place Park (corner of California and Dakota) is nice with kitchen & both indoor/outdoor space, and good size for 100 people. Street parking only. There is a place in Georgetown called The Stables. I’ve been to a wedding and reception there…definitely a fun place, and has a back private patio where you can set up tables for outdoor eating. This particular wedding they had a great food truck provide the food, and there is an area where they can just pull right up next to the building. See link for 360 degree views…
