In reply to: Heat pump installer?

We used Greenwood. While the product works quite well, I was not satisfied with the installation process for a long list of reasons, so I don’t recommend them.

    Update 6/22/2024:

RANT: Finally, I was contacted by the Bellevue/Issaquah franchise owner. Her contact was triggered after the Seattle franchise owner (who as on vacation) accessed my inquiry email. I was informed the Bellevue/Issaquah owner was providing coverage.
It remains to have been an extremely frustrating experience getting information on Caring Transitions-Seattle. I do not know the plan/details for the Seattle franchise owner’s vacation coverage, however, I would not expect it to have taken her intervension (while on vacation) to trigger follow up. At the least, it would have been helpful if the Seattle franchise owner had an “out of office” reply on her email.

RANT: Once triggered, follow up contact was very timely.
I spoke at length with the Bellevue/Issaquah franchise owner. She provided detailed and very helpful informative regarding Caring Transition services. I obtained answers to all my questions. (Thank you.)
Caring Transitions looks to be a comprehensive and invaluable relocation resource. (Thank you!)

Bestie Westie Seattle G-Sale Ever! Today Saturday and Sunday 06/21 – 06/23/2024.

This time I will put items on tarps according to price. This should alleviate any confusion and make it easier to find the items that you’re looking for. Most of the items have not yet been posted or listed on line.

My repeat customers are always saying “You always have the best stuff for sale.” Well it’s because I buy and sell for a living full time for the past 15 years. This year will be even better because 2 of my biggest clients have gone out of business and I have been stocking up for them all winter. Everything is brand name, high quality, shelf ready items for sale. I just don’t have the capacity to sell it all myself.

When I say I have a lot of stuff for sale, I mean a ton. Not just 1 or two of the items I have listed below, but dozens, if not several dozen.

What I have is antiques, collectibles, sports gear, golf bags, clubs, vintage toys and clothing, professional scuba fins, tennis rackets, tents, backpacks and camping equipment. I also have bikes, SUP, stand up paddle board, inflatable rafts and kayaks. There are about 200-300 DVD’s and CDs all in excellent, scratch free condition. Maybe about 30 classic rock albums in excellent condition. I also have a good collection of framed art and antique statues as well as folk art and garden art.

I will be adding more items constantly as soon as something sells, so expect new items hourly. I have 3 other friends helping me and they will have stuff of their own for sale. More photos will be posted soon.

I accept cash, PayPal and Venmo. Look for the yellow sandwich boards.

The sale is happening in the backyard, so just follow the signs. Please no early birds.

    Friday 06/21/2024 9-4 Saturday 06/22/2024 9-4 Sunday TBD

    Address:
7134 32nd Ave SW West Seattle, WA 98126

    See ya soon!

    Thanks,
    Jim

The more you buy the lower the price per item.

Warning on Hanford and 40th, my daughter was attacked by dive bombing crows yesterday evening and scratched on the head. South side of the street. Talked to neighbors and another was attacked recently and nearby. Crows are/were probably protecting nest/territory.

My experiences in this intersection counters those expressed above.
As an avid cyclist who lives nearby, I pedal thru this uncontrolled intersection a couple times a week* on my way home. Just as I do dozens of other intersections throughout our wonderful west Seattle. (*~Daytime and nighttime)
Maybe I’m just fortunate to always pass thru when there are no cars speeding by, but my experience (based on decades of pedaling all over west Seattle and the peninsula) is that this intersection is no different than most others.
There are plenty of other intersections that are often much worse, and I avoid as much as possible, mainly those that are within 1 block of highly trafficked areas where vehicle back-ups are common, and people want to scurry around the traffic congestion.
My intention is not to diminish your thoughts, rather to respond to your “Please comment” with my experiences, and with the hope that others also take a minute to share theirs.

I am sharing my extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Caring Transitions-Seattle. I discovered their business via a web search. They looked like an invaluable resource. I sought more information and reached out…
Over the last 3 weeks I have left messages with live (vs recorded) people at 2 different listed phone numbers, completed and submited the website “Contact”, twice emailed the franchise owner at the listed address and reached out via the WS Blog “Reader Recommendation” forum.
I have not received any reply.
If this is still an active business, their unresponsiveness warrents an F grade. If they have closed shop, the franchise head office is unaware (still listing the Seattle franchise as active and accepting messages to be forwarded).

I’m looking for information on where I might take my father when he visits in a few weeks – he has bought pickleball gear but is just learning to play, and I’ve never played at all. I’d like to find a location, day, and time recommendation for a place where newbies would be welcomed and allowed to play pick-up games while learning. Neither of us are athletes so we’d hope for a friendly crowd with people willing to teach new folks. West Seattle etc. would be ideal but we’re willing to go other places around Seattle.

I lost my passport tonight around 10pm on Saturday June 8th, right near the corner of SW Stevens’s street and Fairmont Avenue. It would have been in the street nearby some scattered pieces of cardboard, I set the items on the roof of my car and then drove away. I returned and found the cardboard pieces but not the passport, please contact me if found, I’m travelling this month and need it very urgently!

Just came back from 63rd to Alki light house on healthy street, Beach Dr. Now it has become a one way with cars bumper to bumper parked on north side of street. It has become single traffic lane. Fire department would have a heck of a time reaching any home on that street. SDOT got the bike lane in but keeps ignoring traffic issues in Seattle. This idea certainly lacked forethought.

    • This topic was modified 2 years ago by Shadowtripper. Reason: Not both sides of street
