shihtzuParticipantI bought from Lynnwood Honda and was very happy. Seattle Honda was waaaaaay to pushy, cheesy car-salesmany for me.
AnonymousInactiveThere isn’t more on him and it is a media illusion. That’s not to say I blame the media. It’s just for at least a year, maybe two, it was a done deal that McCain and Clinton would be the nominees. Obama comes on the scene and shakes everything up. By virtue of what he has done, the attention is focused on every breath he takes.
I’m sure McCain is thrilled and Clinton is probably pissed he’s taking up the limelight. At 70 years old, McCain has way more dubious connections. Nobody cares right this minute. They will soon enough.
AnonymousInactiveI agree he doesn’t run the church. It just seems that there is a lot of controversy surrounding him.
I know that you will all blame the controversy on the media, but why is there more with him than anyone else?
I heard someone say that these types of issues will not come into play when people go to vote, but I completely disagree.
I don’t think a lot of Obama’s supporter’s realize just how much all of the controversy that follows him WILL come into play.

AnonymousInactiveANOTHER non-issue!!!!! A guest priest gives a sermon at his church bashing Hillary when Obama is not even there. His Cardinal (boss) has reprimanded him and forbidden him to speak about politics. Of what importance is this other than to say, how rude and un-professional (of the priest). Not like Obama runs the church.

JeraldParticipantSue– The Unique Stitch glue is permanent, basically, but you could probably pull off a patch and replace it with another. You couldn’t remove one and expect the fabric to look good again uncovered. I used it for my kids’ Camp Fire uniform emblems. Sometimes I’d glue them on and then sew a stitch or two on the corners that might come loose.
I was at Pacific Fabrics the other day and heard a clerk telling someone that she’d made a tote bag using only Unique Stitch and no sewing — and it held together! That’s what reminded me of it.

AnonymousInactiveHey.. No worries, Ken. I wasn’t bashing you in the least!
It’s amusing to me, however, that you post a complete quote from an article, a website, a radio show, a television show, what have you, and every one goes gaga!
You do it all the time and it’s kinda you’re “thing”. I have absolutely no problem with it.
Ever notice, though, that whatever link I share with the group gets dismissed right away because it is deemed “conservative”?
I was just thinking, instead of posting the link, maybe I will cut and paste the parts of certain articles I like.

KenParticipantYo NR
I trimmed off the first two paragraphs, and I posted the url for the whole thing. It is not from a newspaper. It is from her own companies web site.
It is also a blockquote. I feel it falls under “fair use” even though her sites copyright notice is 4 years out of date and part of the original theme.
If you want to charge me with copyright violation I can probably get Donna to give me a letter stating permission. I have her non public email address but I have not used it in years.
Do what you think is appropriate as you see it.
I will do the same.
And a note for the rest of you. Carl Levin and the MDP have tried to jump the gun on Iowa and New Hampshire in every presidential primary year since 1998. They were sanctioned in 2000 and uncommitted beat LaRouche that year since everyone else removed their name from the ballot.
Read the details here if you are interested. This post is by a native Michigan Dem.

AnonymousInactiveAnd JoB – I don’t think anyone has ever personally insulted you (except for myself, maybe). It’s just that you seem to take EVERY insult against Hillary, personally.
I’ve also noticed that you seem to apply certain beliefs and opinions to people when that just isn’t the case. You can take something that someone posts and make it into something else. You’ve done this to me, you’ve done this a lot.
It also seems to me that you believe your opinions are the only ones that should matter. You constantly debunk everyone else’s opinions if it is not in line with your own.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE what you are saying about Obama!!!! I couldn’t agree more. It’s when we are talking about Hillary that it gets extremely personal with you.
I think that is mainly what frustrates people.

Hilarious.
From now on, when I read something absolutely fantastic in the WSJ, I will just copy the whole thing into my post!!!

charlabobParticipantIf you decide to try Illusions, be sure to take use their free consultation. That’s when you can talk to someone about exactly what you want and they can even point you at the stylist who specializes. (I have thick, naturally bent hair…and they even understood that!)
I’m just thinking how great would be a merger between “Vain” and “Illusions” — I’d go to a shop called Vain Illusions without question!

charlabobParticipantI sent my friend a link to this thread and based on everyone’s raves, she’s going to Springhill tonight (after seeing “I’m My Own Wife.”) We really do rule!
I actually kind of like the idea of paying extra for bread–when they just bring it I graze on it–so if they don’t bring it, I won’t eat it. That sentence is barely lucid, but I understood it. :-)

SueParticipantI’m actually having a hard time wrapping my brain around the concept of hemming a pair of jeans. If they’re too long, I just cuff them up. I’m tall though, so if I have to cuff them it’s not much – I guess if one was shorter and the jeans weren’t petite, it could be an issue.
As for hemming general, I had a skirt once that I “hemmed” with a stapler – LOL! It was an emergency repair that I intended to sew when I got home from work and never got around to it. That staple held up for 2 years of washing weekly. Cheapest alteration I ever had. :)

dapuffinParticipantI think a new engine will be around $5k. MrPuffin is on his way home from work now, so we need to do some talking when he gets home. I’ve really loved the Rav, though the gas mileage is not very good. Tough choices here to be made and quickly.

RonMParticipantHmmn, a new engine shouldn’t cost more than a new car. Anyway, as a long time VW owner (since 1962), I broke the mold and bought a new Prius in 2002. Burien Toyota. Dealt with salesmen as briefly as possible, but have had good experience with their service department. Nothing seriouos has gone wrong yet, but the scheduled maintenances have been reasonable and the personel helpful and knowledgable.
