I completely agree with everything the original poster detailed about Molly Kemper and Scott Monroe! Our experience mirrored theirs almost exactly. Following is our review of Molly that we posted on Zillow. Both Scott and Molly continue to touch base with us periodically about our remodel plans and the home values in the surrounding area. Such a great, dynamic duo. You really can’t go wrong!

Molly was our realtor for our home-buying journey and we couldn’t be happier that we chose her as our agent. We have nothing but positive things to say about her both as an agent helping us in our search as well as our representative in the buying process.

Supportive – Molly was incredibly supportive along the whole journey. She was always available and answered all of our questions (there were A LOT) and gave us very practical advice whenever we needed it. She never hesitated to give her honest opinion (even if it wasn’t necessarily what we wanted to hear at the time), which was really helpful in keeping us focused on our dream home. She showed us every house we asked to see, and never tried to “sell” us a house. She walked a finessed line between guiding us and letting us come to our own conclusions.

Attention to detail – Molly’s attention to detail was incredible. She really went out of her way to provide us with detailed to-do lists and itemized checklists. Her organizational skills were fantastic and made the whole home-searching and home-buying process much calmer and straightforward.

Follow-Through – Molly worked very hard to make sure our questions were answered in a timely manner. She checked in on us repeatedly throughout the process and provided a very calming and grounding support system. When we were finally in contract on a home, she was there every step of the way to make sure we understood what was happening, and had a thorough knowledge of all of the documents and processes necessary to make the sale successful. She was ALWAYS available to answer questions.

Positive attitude – Our home-buying experience was a 3-year journey and Molly was incredibly positive and encouraging throughout the entire process. We had a long list of non-negotiables and there were times when we really felt we were going to have to settle for something less than our dream home. We were sometimes discouraged and disappointed, and Molly knew when to give us space and was always there with positivity and encouragement when we were ready to jump back in. We always felt like we were her number one priority throughout this entire process.

Knowledgeable – She knows her stuff! She’s got fantastic knowledge of West Seattle and surrounding areas. She’s also incredibly savvy with the actual purchasing process and made us feel entirely comfortable with what otherwise is a pretty daunting experience.

Go with Molly, you won’t regret it!

I stopped too today with coffee, tea, water, bite to eat and some wool socks…. he said yesterday was their hardest day as he ran out of the fuel cans. I was very concerned as he wasn’t wearing any pants but covered in a sleeping bag he said one of the locals from one of the restaurants gave him. He notes he’d been able to get out for Pho yesterday and another business neighbor helped him get his socks on yesterday. He told me he had enough money for a locksmith to come out to get him a new key but didn’t say when. He had a dashboard stacked with hand warmers and was very upbeat and positive in spite of his circumstances.

Rich’s Custom Upholstery Inc is the best I know.
Back in July 2019, I used Rich’s to work on seats that came with a 2006 Mazda Miata I had bought in May 2019. I was *not* going to live with the black vinyl seats that came with the car! Working with Moe, I picked out a good-quality, attractive fabric. Moe also suggested that new foam be added to the seats while the coverings were being replaced. The final result was great! The new seats are *so* much more comfortable, and the firmness and support from the new foam have been greatly appreciated. Sixteen months later, I’m still very happy with the upgrade to the seats! A *big* improvement. And the price that Moe quoted me was quite fair.

To meet extraordinary demand at Rebellyous Foods, we are looking for great, mission-dedicated people to come help out on a short-term basis. The world is truly ready to replace chicken on a large scale, and we are heeding the call to keep up with the demand! We need your help and we’d love to have you join us!

Here’s the deal: We need thoughtful and passionate folks to work a 1/2 day (4 hours) or full day shift (whichever you’d like) over the next few weeks, temporarily. It could be one-day or 5 days a week — your choice, we’d just love to see your smiling faces on the production floor!

Here’s what you’d be doing: Helping our production team with tasks! You will be measuring ingredients, scooping dough (it’s not heavy), putting product in packages with the team, helping out with dishes, making boxes, and generally helping out on the floor with like-minded friends!

Here’s what to expect: Shifts are between 8 AM to 6 PM, and times are flexible around your schedule. We ask you to get a Washington State Food Worker Card and you’d be trained on basic food safety and facility safety when you arrive at HQ. You’d be paid as an employee of Rebellyous. You can schedule only the shifts that work for you — so lots of flexibility. You will be wearing production-grade clean or new boots, smocks, and hairnets provided by Rebellyous.

Here’s what we need from you: We need your time for 1/2 or full day shifts for a couple times over the next few weeks. You need to be able to stand or walk around for the full 4 hours or 8 hours with rest breaks and lunch breaks. Granola bars and fruit provided for breaks. You will need to be able to do some light lifting and bending, but we can accommodate nearly any mobility limitation if you tell us ahead of time, so don’t let that stop you. You also need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be able to provide proof for our records. We ask that you commit to just a few or more shifts in the next few weeks.

We would love to have you come work with us for this short stint! It’s going to be tons of fun, and you get to see the plant-based meat industry in action first hand changing the meat industry.

Or just buy a little “white noise”/noise-cancelling machine. I can’t sleep without it. I even used it when I was in New York when they were building the Second Avenue subway line. The white noise machine pretty much obliterated the racket.
I don’t know what bird ribs or bird lines are, but I understand that bird spiders are designed to deter large birds like seagulls. Not recommended for smaller birds or nesting birds.
    Good luck!

Hello, not sure how many of you shop at Target or recently made a trip there and have noticed a man outside with his cute Dachshund asking for help. He is homeless living out of his car which he doesn’t have a key to and can’t afford to replace it. His dog’a name is Mary Jane and is his life, a homeless person with a pet is gut wrenching but also gives them the strength to survive. They will always feed their pet first, please don’t ever take that away from them unless you’re helping and giving it back.

Anyway this man is Gary, as I said lives in his car and eats what others give him. He has trouble walking as his foot is infected due to untreated Diabetes, he sits with Mary Jane on the wheelchair. I can’t imagine him being there today which means he’s trapped in his car without food in freezing temperature. I ask anyone with the ability to help or know someone who is able to check on him. Leave your judgement about his circumstances behind and think how you’d actually survive in his situation, I know I would have difficulty I’m hanging by a thread right now. Gary’s truck is located at the white center cut off across from Key Bank which is next to Chase Bank. He’s parked in front of a body shop with a fence. His truck is a black 2004 Dodge Ram with a lot of junk in the back, well now it’s snow. Currently I don’t have a vehicle otherwise I would go to him, please help the vulnerable. I worry he won’t be able to open his door to let MJ out, he parks his wheelchair next to his car door. Long post for someone I don’t know but my soft spot for dogs is too soft as well as the homeless. Thank you and be careful out there.

Edit: My god so many errors in this post. :)

Anyone else noticing a foul smell in the air the past couple days?
I can’t identify what it is. (Near Lincoln Park and Morgan Junction)

It has come to our attention that Joe Fitzgibbon (maybe also Eileen Cody and Joe Nguyen) have been asked by Larry Springer to bring a bill forward to Sunset Community Councils. Larry last asked Steve Kirby of the 29th district (Tacoma area) to bring HB 1812 and HB 2610 forward. Larry has been upset at the Community Council that exists in Kirkland since he was Mayor. He has been trying repeatedly to shut this down. Each time he fails. Here’s two VIMEOs to show how he’s basically been laughed out of the room and told to honor the agreement that Kirkland made with its Community Council.

    https://vimeo.com/653461386

    https://vimeo.com/654175886

What does this mean for Alki’s Community Council. Are our Legislators trying to do away with us? Aren’t their more important things to do for the benefit of the residents of the 34th district. This is a short session, you don’t have time to be a pawn in Kirkland’s governance.

What about all the important things in West Seattle that need our legislators attention – Come on – NO HORSE TRADING!!!

Acma computer user kit (mostly manuals)

A bunch of HP laser writer disks (3.5 floppies and CDs)
Waterford early reading program (3.5 floppy and CD)
A handful of 3.5 floppies for a Logitech mouse, Toshiba and 3com peripherals, and digital research technologies windows 3.1/DOS install disk

They were left behind by a renter and I haven’t gotten around to recycling them yet, and no idea if the floppies are what they say they are. If you are interested in any or all for the low low price of free, let me know. davebrewer (at) outlook dotcom.
