We are hiring experienced professional dog walkers. Can you walk larger dogs or dogs that need a professional handler? If so, consider working with a company that supports individual growth, empowerment and healthy communication.

We have immediate openings for WEST SEATTLE Weekday dog walkers. These positions work well for someone looking for part time work 2-4 hours a day. This specific position is for experienced dog walkers who can handle larger dogs or dogs that need more focused walks. All CTH Dog clients are human friendly and vetted for staff. All walks are private leashed walks in their neighborhood. Some dog walks are more than one dog if they live together.

We are looking for honest, driven, self-motivated independent individuals. Our software allows for easy scheduling, invoicing, and communication with clients and healthy boundaries for employees. We are an LGBTQI owned and operated business with a high sense of integrity. Please apply if you feel you would add something positive to our amazing team.

What our team says about the company.

‘Close To Home has been an amazing place for me after leaving a high-stress job. Being outside, exercising and connecting with animals is the perfect antidote for career burnout and has helped tremendously with my depression and anxiety. Plus, the miles I’m walking have conditioned me enough so I am able to do all the hikes that seemed out of reach previously.’

aa, I agree with you; the tipping ‘requirement’ has gotten out of control. The example you gave, pouring a cup of coffee, is also performed by 7-11 employees. Are they tipped? Checkers and baggers in grocery stores actually do far more actual work for each customer and yet are rarely, if ever, tipped. Restaurant workers in Washington state make the same minimum wage as anyone else. There is a certain restaurant in the Junction that has NO table service. Orders are placed at the counter, and the customer either retrieves the order when ready, or someone takes a few steps to drop the food at your table. And yet payment – including the onscreen request for a tip – is made at the time of ordering. Why tip for something that not only hasn’t happened yet but shouldn’t require a tip? If you select “no tip” you’ve just made that option clear to the person about to make your food – never a good idea. My old salon used to charge an additional $5 to cover ’employee health expenses’ back when the law changed. They’ve now redefined the fee as a ‘sanitation’ fee – WTF, you don’t clean your salon and tools unless people pay extra? These are business expenses, not individualized special services. I’m more than happy to tip and tip generously, but the expectation that everyone who works behind a counter is entitled to a tip is unjustified.

I doubt you’ll find a buyer quickly. People understand that if someone is selling something, the product might be defective. It is essential to choose qualitative and durable office equipment. Your health depends on the chair and table you choose. And these criteria are assured only by new purchases. During the holiday season, you can find reasonable prices for good outcomes. In the last couple of days, I found good deals on https://eurekaergonomic.com/office-desk-47-electric-standing-desk-with-drawers-and-detachable-monitor-riser-walnut-erk-ed-i47-wn/. I think I’m going to order a grey standing desk for my office. It’s going to combine perfectly with the walls and chair!

I pulled up a map of the end of Fauntleroy and the path of where it turns into 48th. It’s not a sure thing that this 170′ stretch is a part of a ROW. It’s possible it’s a private inholding where access has been historically permitted. With the increase in homelessness and encampments many have closed of access to wooded areas to prevent access and this has been true for both public and private entities. It’s possible it qualifies as a ‘street end’ which often allows some access. It’s also possible it’s private but has a utility easement which would bar public access, which is why there’s a gate and not a fence. The only way to know for sure is look up survey’s and plat maps.

To insist that you should have access is fine but you’ll simply have to work it out with the owners. Alas, if they’ve just recently barred access then it’s unlikely that you’ll make much headway.

Before you froth at the mouth, by the way, consider if you’d allow anyone and everyone to tromp through your yard as the please. I would not.

Yeah. It’s a bummer, been using it for years. I am surprised that the gate is even allowed there. Also the fence seems kind of high, wonder what the statute for fences in Seattle is…

Just checking in to see who else is frustrated about the closed/barred gate where Fauntleroy dead-ends just south of the ferry dock. I grew up in the neighborhood and have used that pass-through for well over thirty years. Seems insane to close off that valuable neighborhood connection. Thoughts??
