Armed guards did not prevent shootings at several of our MILITARY installations. Why would we even think that arming someone at schools will help?

With an idea like this, would we contract out this labor? Pretty sure that’ll cost tax payers dearly. Let alone, who are these contractors? Blackwater was a failure if I remember right? Maybe we make the school officers a government run agency. Pretty sure that too will cost the tax payers dearly. Oh and let the conspiracy theorists come out and start screaming “Big Brother” on that agency.

This whole debate is sad in my opinion. Our society has become paranoid. We have developed a culture here in America that fights fear with fear. The days of sandlots, unlocked doors, neighborhood bbq’s and so on are gone. Kids living next door to each other don’t even know each other anymore. We’re all bunkered down waiting for the next gunman to snap. And our answer to that is to put more gunman out there? Please! That is just pouring salt on the wound. We need gun control, gun laws, gun saftey, however you want to word it so the NRA doesn’t have a Constitutional hissy-fit. I don’t really give a s*%t about the statisics of illegal guns to legal ones, fact is, we have TOO MANY guns period! Legal or illegal, guns are easier to get then a freakin credit card. This whole thing is dumb in my opinion! No armed guards please!

If you wanna own a gun, fine, so be it. But it will require an annual registration, much like a car. If it is for home protection, then you get to sign it up as such with your home/renters insurance which gives you a deduction equivelent to your states annula registration fee. If your gun is for sport, then your hunting license is reduced equivilent to your states registration fee. If your gun is for hobby, then you are required to check into a shooting range twice a year. All registration for live guns will also require annual shooting range safety classes in order to renew your registration. And so on…

Illegal guns, well, how about we work on allowing law enforcement the right to arrest straw purchasers? Gun shows, gone! Private sales…gone! Semi-automatics…gone! If you can’t hit Bambi with your .22, then you need to go back to the shooting range and practice. It’s called sport, cheating not allowed.

In the end, my opinion is obviously totally against turning America into a fortress of armed gunman. Cable media should be boycotted as well, but that is a different topic. It’s just I cannot get over the fact that my children and generations to come will have no innocence because the adults in this country rather claim that their freedoms are being impeded on because we want to cut back the number of both legal and ILLEGAL guns in our country.

“Guns vs. Children”

Thats what all this has become. And right now, it seems guns are winning….sad!
